Senator Elizabeth Warren couldn’t be more clueless on guns and the latest news on how an armed man saved lives during a church shooting in Texas just a few days after Christmas (see below).

Her logic on concealed carry is off base but typical for a Leftist who falsely believes that you can take all weapons from the bad guys:

“The first part is, I say that the reason those people were injured was that somebody came into that church with a gun. And that’s how it is that people got hurt in the first place.”

Warren might not “feel” safer but she is safer if someone is armed while she’s in church or at the mall:

“The second thing is I don’t think there’s any data to suggest that universal concealed carry makes any of us feel safer. I don’t feel safer going to my church knowing that somebody could be sitting next to me with weapons. I don’t feel safer going to the mall knowing that some fight that ordinarily might have escalated into a little push and shove could escalate into everybody whips out weapons. I don’t feel any safer.”

Warren must not have read the CDC study published during the Obama administration that concluded firearms used for self-defense are an ‘important crime deterrent’:

The study’s findings include:

  • Gun-use is the safest of studied “self-protective strategies,”
  • Suicide accounts for most firearm deaths,
  • Felons who use guns very seldom obtain their guns by stealing them, and
  • There is no evidence that gun restrictions reduce gun violence.

ARMED PARISHIONERS SAVE LIVES IN TEXAS CHURCH:

Star-Telegram – A man was standing toward the back of the sanctuary holding a tray when the shooter got up from a nearby pew, walked toward the man and appeared to say something to him.

The gunman then backed up, pulled out a long gun, and fired a shot toward a man who was seated nearby. He then fired a shot toward the man holding the tray.

A man in the back then pointed a handgun at the gunman and fired one shot. The gunman fell, and two more people from the audience who appeared to be armed slowly walked toward the gunmen.

He wasn’t sure if the man who shot the gunman was a security officer but said “he acted so quickly” and appeared to be trained.

The Texas governor and Lt. governor echoed the feelings of so many who were grateful to Jackwilson for preventing any further loss of life:

“Our hearts go out to the victims and families of those killed in the evil act of violence that occurred at the West Freeway Church of Christ,” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said in a statement. “Places of worship are meant to be sacred, and I am grateful for the church members who acted quickly to take down the shooter and help prevent further loss of life. “

Lt. Governor Dan Patrick’s statement referenced the “brave response of church members who likely stopped the loss of additional lives.”

Remember this armed hero from 2017?

Stephen Willeford lives across the street from the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, TX. He was napping at home when heard the gunshots. His daughter told him a man in black was shooting up the church. Stephen took the time to load his AR-15 style rifle, but didn’t bother to put on shoes he just ran towards the gunfire to confront the church shooter. Listen to his story. He’s humble, but nonetheless, a true American hero. His bravery, quick action and true marksmanship saved innocent lives

Liz Warren couldn’t be more wrong!
