After Elon Musk acquired Twitter, left-wing users rapidly started to lose followers, and prominent right-wing accounts have been gaining followers.  Perhaps that is what motivated progressive Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-Ny.) to attack Elon Musk on Friday when she accused him of being responsible for an ‘explosion in hate crimes.’

The Tweet accuses Musk of being courted by Tucker Carlson and Peter Thiel and having an ‘ego problem.’

Musk responded by accusing her of flirting with him.  She said that she was referring to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in a reply that she deleted a minute later.

AOC and other left-wingers may be losing followers because of a mass exodus of liberal users after Musk’s purchase of the social media giant.

The Daily Mail Reports

“Elon Musk accused Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of flirting with him after she raged that his purchase of Twitter had stoked hate crimes.

‘Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy,’ he wrote, adding a blushing emoji to go along with it.

Musk was replying directly to a tweet sent by the Democrat Representative earlier on Friday, which suggested he’d only bought the platform at the behest of Fox News host Tucker Carlson and his PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel.

‘Tired of having to collectively stress about what explosion of hate crimes is happening bc some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special,’ she tweeted.

AOC later replied to Musk’s dig by claiming she was actually referring to Facebook and Instagram owner Mark Zuckerberg.

She wrote: ‘I was talking about Zuckerberg, but ok,’ then deleted the tweet a minute later.”
