Let’s just call 2017 the year that liberals came out of the closet. Up until 2017, liberals were able to pull off the illusion that they were more tolerant than conservatives, that they were more accepting than conservatives, and even that they had more love in their hearts than conservatives. But then Trump happened, and all bets were off.

Since his election, liberals have proved that liberal gays can be really mean…like REALLY mean (think Rosie O’Donnell who took to Twitter to accuse Trump’s 10-year old son Baron of being autistic). Liberals have proven that they’re not really very tolerant of anyone who doesn’t think like them (think Kathy Griffin, holding a severed and bloodied head of Donald Trump in a comedy skit). Liberals have proven that they’re only tolerant of other people’s religious beliefs as long as they’re not Christian beliefs (think a massive group of gays blasting music and dancing in front of Mike Pence’s’ home only days after the inauguration to show how much they hate Christians who don’t embrace gay marriage). Liberals have proven how intolerant they are when they burned the streets (including cars), violently attacked and blocked off innocent Trump supporters, while bashing out windows of businesses with sledgehammers, during President Trump’s inauguration in Washington DC. Liberal lawmakers have made assassination wishes on Facebook, they’ve called him a “racist” with nothing to back up their allegations. They’ve attempted to label our President as “unfit to serve” and were recently outraged when the President’s physician reported that he was in “excellent health”. Liberals in the city Donald Trump has called home his entire life hosted a taxpayer and corporate-funded play in Central Park depicting the assassination of our President, only six months after his inauguration.

Last month, U.S. Olympic skier Lyndsey Vonn claimed she would not represent President Trump in the upcoming Olympics. And now, we have an intolerant gay member of the US Olympic men’s figure skating team who doesn’t want to shake Vice President Mike Pence’s hand over the funding of a program it turns out, he never supported.

Todd Starnes reports that a member of the U.S. men’s figure skating team got his costume in a twist because Vice President Mike Pence is scheduled to lead the U.S. Olympic delegation to South Korea in February.

Adam Rippon, the 2016 U.S. men’s figure skating champion, had an outburst — telling USA Today he would prefer not to shake the vice president’s hand before the opening ceremony.

Mr. Rippon is believed to be the first openly gay Winter Olympian — and he took great umbrage at the vice president’s devout Christian faith.

“You mean Mike Pence, the same Mike Pence that funded gay conversion therapy?” Rippon snarled. “I’m not buying it.”

Mr. Rippon, the poster child for tolerance and diversity, went on to say the vice president and the Trump administration do not represent his personal beliefs.

“I don’t think he has a real concept of reality,” Mr. Rippon said. “To stand by some of the things that Donald Trump has said and for Mike Pence to say he’s a devout Christian man is completely contradictory. If he’s OK with what’s being said about people and Americans and foreigners and about different countries that are being called ‘s***holes,’ I think he should really go to church.”

Sadly, Mr. Rippon did not bother to do his homework before attacking the vice president. It turns out he has long been adamant he never supported conversion therapy.

“The vice president is proud to lead the U.S. delegation to the Olympics and support America’s incredible athletes. This accusation is totally false and has no basis in fact,” the vice president’s spokesperson said. “Despite these misinformed claims, the vice president will be enthusiastically supporting all the U.S. athletes competing next month in Pyeongchang.”
