Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk officially took over Twitter Inc. on Thursday night, and he has already fired top executives from the company, including Chief Executive Officer Parag Agrawal, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal, and legal affairs and policy chief Vijaya Gadde.

Gadde, a major Democrat door, had been Twitter’s informal “head of censorship,” and played a major role in getting Trump banned from the social media platform in 2021. The Twitter lawyer also pushed the decision to ban links to the New York Post’s story about Hunter Biden and his incriminating laptop.

On Wednesday, just one day before she was fired from the company, a hilarious photo was taken of her glaring at Musk during a meeting at the San Fransisco Headquarters’ coffee bar.

However, it wasn’t too bad a deal for Gadde, as she walked away from her job with $12.5 million.

Musk has purchased Twitter with the intention of promoting freedom of speech and transparency within the platform.

The Tesla CEO has revealed that he plans to open source algorithms to allow transparency for Twitter users so they can see how their data is used. Musk will also allow everyone to edit their data use preferences.

Musk recently released a statement in which he says that he wants to develop Twitter into a “common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner, without resorting to violence.” He also stated that he chose to buy Twitter to “try and help humanity.”

As the new interim CEO of Twitter, Musk has said that he will reinstate Twitter users that have been handed lifetime bans, allowing them a second chance on a platform that is less restrictive of free speech. Among those reinstated will be President Trump, who has been recently touting the success of his own social media platform, Truth Social.

After news broke of Musk’s Twitter acquisition, Trump posted on Truth Social that “last week [Truth Social] had bigger numbers than all other platforms, including TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and the rest.”

Trump then acknowledged Musk and his new ownership, saying, “It also looks and works better to my eye. I am very happy that Twitter is now in sane hands, and will no longer be run by Radical Left Lunatics and Maniacs that truly hate our country.”

“Twitter must now work hard to rid itself of all the bots and fake accounts that have hurt it so badly. It will be much smaller, but better. I LOVE TRUTH!”
