Last night, the super-sized loudmouth, and former governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie appeared on what used to be a humorous Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert. The purpose of his visit was to promote his new book, Let Me Finish, that discusses the backstabbing that took place on Trump’s transition team, that eventually lead to his ouster.  All that it took was one shot of tequila to get the boisterous, failed presidential candidate to start blathering about how much better he would’ve been as our nation’s 45th President. Unfortunately, for the former governor, the primary election results revealed that Chris Christie was just about the only one who felt the same way.

The governor who was caught spending the day on a Jersey Shore beach with his family, that was closed to the public because of a budget standoff between the governor and legislators in Trenton, took the opportunity to criticize President Trump and his handling of the recent partial government shutdown. After slamming down a shot of tequila, Christie, like a high school kid who taunts another kid for not having the courage to drink with him, attempted to shame Stephen Colbert for not finishing his shot. Colbert, for his part, immediately dived into the government shutdown, and almost as if it were planned, the pompous Christie immediately gave Trump the sole credit for the shutdown, telling Colbert that the President wouldn’t listen to him.

“He’ll throw anybody under the bus,” the bitter Colbert told Christie. The former governor agreed.

Watch:

Mr. Christie’s invaluable input about how to handle a government shutdown was lost on many, considering how the arrogant former governor handled his budget standoff in New Jersey in 2017.

In July 2017, Chris Christie was caught on camera, as he and his family enjoyed their own private beach on Jersey Shore waterfront, that because of a budget standoff between the governor and New Jersey state legislators, was closed to the public.

Fox News reported about the humiliating Christie blunder – Photos taken by NJ Advance Media show the portly politician lounging on a chair at Island Beach State Park Sunday while his family catches some sun and plays paddle ball in the sand.

The images were taken before Christie headed to Trenton to hold a news conference — about the government shutdown. When asked about if he got to enjoy the clear summer day Christie demurred.

“I didn’t,” he said. “… I didn’t get any sun today.”

Christie’s spokesman was later told about the photos and claimed the governor’s baseball hat shielded him from any potential sun rays.

At least we didn’t see President Trump shooting 18-holes on a government-owned golf course that was closed to the public.
