Trump supporter and Political Science major at the University of Michigan claims she’s been stripped of her title of Miss Michigan over her refusal to wear a hijab and over a tweet that she posted where she shared statistics on black on black gun violence.

Fox and Friends featured her story this morning.

Kathy Khu, who goes by @PoliticalKathy on Twitter can be seen below posing with her gun while wearing a MAGA hat and standing in front of a Trump MAGA banner.

Zhu posted the letter she received from MWA State Director Laurie DeJack, where DeJack accuses her of “being racist, Islamophobic and insensitive.”

The MAGA beauty also claims she was “stripped” of her Miss Michigan title, “due to my refusal to try on a hijab in 2018, my tweet about black on black gun violence, and “insensitive” statistical tweets.”

In the email to Zhu, Laurie DeJack wrote: “It has been brought to the attention of Miss World America that your social media accounts contain offensive, insensitive and inappropriate content, and in violation of MWA’s Rules and Conditions, specifically the contestant requirement of ‘being of good character and whose background is not likely to bring into disrepute Miss World America or any person associated with the organisation,'” DeJack continued, “Therefore, and effective immediately, MWA does not recognise you as a participant of any sort or in any capacity as it relates to any and all events of MWA. Furthermore, let this communication serve as official notice to remove any mention of yourself as a participant in MWA from all social media platforms (including photographs of you wearing the MWA Michigan sash and/or crown, and any text claiming to be a participant of MWA events).”

Zhu replied: “Statistics and facts are not always pleasant. It’s disgusting how you would rather lie to the public’s face than be supportive of someone that is trying to make a difference by talking about subjects that no one dares to say.”

Zhu also tweeted a series of text messages between her and DeJack, where the state director questions her political tweets.

In her messages to Zhu, Laurie DeJack, the state director of the Miss World Ltd. pageant questions why Miss Michigan would dare to reveal her political views, but a closer look at DeJack’s Facebook page shows she has no problem sharing her leftist views on social media.

Here’s a screenshot of a post on Laurie DeJack’s Facebook page, where she exclaims, “Oh heck ya!!!” in response to an SNL skit where actress Leslie Jones rips into “Alabama’s Draconian Abortion Laws.”

Conservative Twitter personality Robby Starbucks said it best when he tweeted:
Apparently, you can’t even participate in a pageant if you’re *gasp* openly Republican. What a sorry bunch of bigots. you’re still Miss Michigan to anyone with a functioning frontal lobe in their brain.

Should the director of the pageant be threatening Miss Michigan over her conservative political views while sharing posts and comments supporting her liberal views on social media? Share your thoughts with us about this insane story in the comment section below.
