“Whatever justice is, perhaps this is the next phase of his justice. Perhaps this is his karma,” she said. “I’m not happy about it, but I’m very sanguine for whatever unfolds here.” – Morgan Harrington’s father

The terrible case of a man who murdered two Virginia college students just took an unexpected turn.

Jesse Matthew Jr. abducted and killed two Virginia college students and has been serving multiple life sentences for the murders of Morgan Harrington and Hannah Graham.

Matthew plead guilty in 2016 for the 2009 murder of Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington and the 2014 murder of UVA student Hannah Graham.

A chilling video was crucial evidence in the trial of the murder of Hannah Graham. The video below shows Matthew stalking Graham as she’s walking on campus:

On Sept. 13, 2014, UVA student Hannah Graham disappeared. Charlottesville Police were able to piece together her last known whereabouts with surveillance video captured between 12:45 a.m. and 1:08 a.m.: Graham is seen on cameras at McGrady’s Irish Pub and across the street from a Shell gas station. She then makes her way to the Downtown Mall, where she’s captured on cameras from Sal’s Caffe Italia and Tuel Jewelers. In those last videos on the Downtown Mall, a man police believe to be responsible for Hannah’s disappearance is also seen on camera.

A big dose of karma was just dealt to Matthew who told a reporter during a phone interview that he has cancer. According to Fox DC, Morgan Harrington’s mother was told the news by Albemarle County Commonwealth’s Attorney Robert Tracci. The attorney went into greater detail to say that Matthew has stage 4 colon cancer.

The case of Hannah Graham is every parent’s nightmare. She was leaving a concert at the UVA basketball arena and was found three months later in a field miles away.

The surveillance video that came out at the time showing Matthew stalking Graham sealed his fate but it’s stage 4 colon cancer that is “justice” according to Morgan Harrington’s father.
