Today, a 41-year old good Samaritan had his life taken away when he decided to randomly pay for customers meals and pass out $20 bills to perfect strangers at a Gainesville, FL Waffle House. In normal times, every stranger would have been appreciative, they would have expressed their gratitude to the good Samaritan, and likely would have told several others about their good fortune. But we’re not living in normal times. We’re living in an era where it is now expected that if someone has more than you, it’s your right to take the excess amount from them. Such was the case with 25-year-old Ezekiel Hicks, who wasn’t satisfied with the gift of a perfect stranger, he wanted more.
44-year-old Craig Brewer, a good Samaratin, was shot to death at a Waffle House in Gainesville, Florida, after paying for random customers meals and handing out $20 bills to patrons in the restaurant.
According to the Political Insider – Craig Brewer, 41, was fatally shot after a man allegedly became upset because Brewer’s generosity didn’t include the woman he came to the restaurant with, according to witnesses, ABC News reported.
Authorities arrested Ezekiel Hicks, 25, on Sunday and charged him with Brewer’s murder.
Video surveillance shows Hicks and Brewer in an altercation, after which Hicks allegedly left the establishment and retrieved a 9mm pistol. Police recovered the gun at the scene of the crime, according to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.
Here’s the horrible 911 call reveals how an employee warned how things were getting out of control in the Waffle House restaurant. At the time, the Waffle House employee did not see any weapons.
The altercation “lasted only a few seconds,” the sheriff’s office reported after watching surveillance footage and obtaining recordings of the 911 calls made to police from the scene, ABC reported.
