Secretary of State Marco Rubio just announced a pause on issuing worker visas to foreign commercial truck drivers.
This comes after an illegal alien truck driver killed three American citizens in Florida with his reckless driving.
Rubio announced on X:
Effective immediately we are pausing all issuance of worker visas for commercial truck drivers.
The increasing number of foreign drivers operating large tractor-trailer trucks on U.S. roads is endangering American lives and undercutting the livelihoods of American truckers.

This is a very solid move by the Trump administration.
The illegal alien who cost three innocent people their lives was employed by a California truck driving company and got his CDL license in California — despite speaking very little English.
Obviously, we need some serious vetting of truck drivers.
It’s nice to see action being taken on the federal level to protect both road safety and the jobs of American truck drivers.

In addition to the halt on worker visas for truck drivers, an investigation has also been launched into the deadly Florida crash.
Everyone responsible will be held accountable.
In fact, the company who hired Harjinder Singh has already had its business license revoked by the Trump administration and is no longer in business.
More on that here:
The Hill reported:
Rubio’s announcement comes days after Harjinder Singh, a truck driver, was accused of making an illegal U-turn that killed people about 50 miles north of West Palm Beach, Fla. The Department of Homeland Security said this week that Singh, who was arrested for three counts of vehicular homicide, was in the U.S. illegally.
Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy said Tuesday that the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration launched an investigation into the deadly Florida highway crash.
Earlier this year, President Trump took action in order to prevent incidents like this from happening...
He signed an executive order requiring all truck drivers to speak English.
Reuters has more:
While the English-proficiency standard for truckers was already longstanding U.S. law, Trump's executive order in April reversed 2016 guidance that inspectors not place commercial drivers out of service if their only violation was lack of English.
ADVERTISEMENTDuffy has said that failing to adequately enforce driver qualification standards poses serious safety concerns and increases the likelihood of crashes.
FMCSA said in 2023 that about 16% of U.S. truck drivers were born outside the United States. Last month, Reuters reported that Mexican truck drivers in the border city of Ciudad Juarez have begun studying English in efforts to comply with the Trump order.
But apparently, President Trump's order was blatantly ignored in states like California.
Here's a great idea:
Any commercial driver's license issued in California has to be invalidated NOW! Not a serious state!!!@marcorubio @realDonaldTrump
