There’s a time and a place for everything.

On Wednesday, Melania Trump sat down with two Israeli-Americans who were in the White House to celebrate their release from being held captive by Hamas.

The two Israeli-Americans were freed in part as a negotiation deal Trump made between Israel and Hamas.

When the event concluded, Melania was asked by a reporter about her thoughts on Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s former girlfriend, who was convicted on sex trafficking charges, being held in a low-security prison.

In response, Melania quickly shut down the question.

The Independent reported more on the ill-motivated question:

First Lady Melania Trump quickly brushed off a question lobbed at her concerning notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, during an event at the White House on Wednesday.

Trump welcomed reporters to the White House to receive her remarks after her Wednesday meeting with American-Israeli Keith Siegel and his wife, Aviva, who was freed from Hamas captivity as part of a U.S.-negotiated ceasefire. The event marked the anniversary of his release.

During a short round of questions from the press after the meeting, CNN’s Betsy Klein asked Trump about calls from the public to move Maxwell, who has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors, into a high-security prison.

Trump shot back with a quick dismissal of the question.

“We are here celebrating the release and the life of these two incredible people. So let’s honor that, thank you,” she replied.

Recently, Melania has been making headlines due to her new documentary Melania being released on the big screen.

Fox News reported how much her documentary has made in ticket sales so far:

Older women emerged as the driving force behind the “Melania” documentary’s strong opening weekend, Variety reported Sunday — bucking the box-office trend that is typically powered by younger male audiences.

David A. Gross, founder of Franchise Entertainment Research, told Variety that the turnout is a “rare case,” noting that mainstream moviegoers are usually between the ages of 15 and 44, along with families.

“This older, female audience admires and looks up to Melania as a role model,” he said, according to the report.

The film, which offers an up-close look at first lady Melania Trump’s life over the 20 days leading up to President Donald Trump’s second inauguration, exceeded expectations with a $7 million opening weekend, marking the strongest documentary debut in more than a decade, according to reports.

Any thoughts?
