Michigan’s Governor is proving that the coronavirus lockdown extensions are nothing more than political posturing. Governor Gretchen Whitmer is in the running to become the choice for Joe Biden’s Vice Presidential running mate. Hopefully, Biden picks Whitmer for VP to help deliver Michigan to President Trump in the 2020 election because citizens of Michigan are 100% FED Up! with her lockdowns.

MLive is reporting Governor Whitmer just signed two executive orders today to continue various emergency mandates, including the stay-home order, to June 12, and Michigan’s state of emergency to June 19. The orders will keep theaters, gyms, salons, and casinos closed.

Michigan’s Kent County reported 86 new cases of coronavirus on Friday, followed by Wayne County with 64, and Macomb and Ottawa counties with 25 each. Oakland County reported just six new coronavirus cases Friday. Even though coronavirus cases have declined, Whitmer says the state of Michigan isn’t “out of the woods.”

The truth is that the CDC admitted this week that the coronavirus mortality ratio is similar to the 1957 flu when there was no lockdown.

Tucker Carlson discussed disastrous lockdowns:

In a news release today, Whitmer claimed she’s worried about opening too soon:

“While the data shows that we are making progress, we are not out of the woods yet. If we’re going to lower the chance of a second wave and continue to protect our neighbors and loved ones from the spread of this virus, we must continue to do our part by staying safer at home. If we open too soon, thousands more could die and our hospitals will get overwhelmed. While we finally have more protective equipment like masks, we can’t run the risk of running low again.”

This is on the same day that Dr. Anthony Fauci said that extended lockdowns can cause irreparable damage.

For anyone in Michigan who doubts all businesses should open, please look at other states that have opened completely. The state of Georgia is open and thriving. Hair salons are open and jam-packed but with the new coronavirus protections. The bottom line is the governor of Michigan is wrong about keeping struggling businesses shut down.
