MyPillow founder and CEO Mike Lindell said he’s considering challenging Tim Walz for Minnesota governor in 2026.

“I live here in Minnesota, everywhere I go, nobody wants Tim Walz,” he said on LindellTV.

“They don’t. Even if you’re a Democrat, you think he’s a good Democrat governor? They don’t even like him for what he did these nonsensical things he did,” he continued.

Newsweek reports:

Lindell is a prominent figure in the MAGA movement and a longtime supporter of President Donald Trump. In addition to running MyPillow, Lindell hosts the website FrankSpeech, a platform for conservative pundits, and the streaming and broadcast platform Lindell TV.

Walz, who has served as governor of Minnesota since 2019, is eligible to run for a third term but has not announced whether he will do so. The Democrat is reportedly eyeing a third term following confirmation in February that he would not run for his state’s open Senate seat in 2026.

On a recent episode of The Mike Lindell Show, which airs on Lindell TV, the MyPillow CEO said: “I live here in Minnesota. Everywhere I go, nobody wants Tim Walz.”

He said he was doing “due diligence” as he considered entering the race and teased “bigger announcements” to come.

Walz comfortably won Minnesota’s gubernatorial elections in 2018 and 2022, and according to RealClearPolitics polling, he has a 42.5 percent favorability rating.

From POLITICO:

Lindell’s announcement, made Monday on his eponymous “Mike Lindell Show” which is situated in his media network, isn’t the first time he’s flirted with a run for the state’s top job.

He previously considered a run for the governorship in 2022 — at Trump’s urging — he said. Lindell also weighed a run in 2018.

Walz enjoys a 52% approval rating in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. The governor built a national profile after being tapped by former Vice President Kamala Harris as her running mate on the Democratic ticket last fall.

“I’m looking at every single thing, option and doing my due diligence,” Lindell said.
