Minnesota state House Speaker Lisa Demuth won the Minnesota Republican gubernatorial primary on Tuesday night.

However, MyPillow founder Mike Lindell has refused to concede defeat, alleging irregularities in the vote totals.

With nearly all the votes counted, Demuth led Lindell 43.4 percent to 32.5 percent.

Demuth will now face Democratic nominee Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) this fall in the race to replace Minnesota’s retiring Democratic Gov. Tim Walz.

The state Republican lawmaker called her win a “major milestone” but noted that her campaign was “not done yet” in a statement shared on social media just after midnight on Wednesday.

“Tonight, Minnesotans made it clear they are ready for real change — at the top,” DeMuth wrote. “It’s time to end the fraud, restore common sense to our state government and return Minnesota to a place that works for families, seniors, businesses and our next generation.”

She added, “Let’s go win in November!”

Lindell described the voting process in Minnesota, raising concerns about voter ID requirements and how ballots are processed.

“No ID whatsoever. You stick the paper into the machine and it’s gone,” Lindell said.

“I have no record of who I voted for. They have no record of my ID. I’ve never seen anything like it. This is worse than I thought,” he added.

Told by a reporter on his own streaming channel, LindellTV, that the AP had declared the race over, Lindell dismissed the wire service outright. Asked why he wouldn’t accept the call, he questioned the AP’s authority to determine the outcome and insisted hundreds of thousands of votes remained uncounted.

“I’m not going to give up this race until the votes are counted,” Lindell said. “That’s nonsense.”

Lindell did not return a request for comment on what steps he will take next to contest the election, as he waits for the votes to come in.
