Charlotte Pence, daughter of Vice President Mike Pence recently conducted an interview where she weighed in on “Last Week Tonight” host John Oliver poking fun at her new children’s book, and her response is the definition of class.

The book, “Marlon Bundo’s Day in the Life of the Vice President,” is all about the younger Pence’s pet rabbit, telling the story of a typical day in the life of the vice president from its perspective.

Oliver decided to mock the book — which is raising money to stop sex trafficking — by creating one of his own featuring two gay bunnies.

The Daily Wire reports:

Reacting to “Last Week Tonight” host John Oliver’s targeting of her new children’s book with a partisan spoof about two gay bunnies, Charlotte told Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo that she was “all for” two books bringing in money to charity.

“I think imitation is the most sincere form of flattery in a way,” said the 24-year-old. “But in all seriousness, his book is contributing to charities that I think we can all get behind. We have two books that are giving to charities that are both about bunnies, so I’m all for it, really.”

Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro reported Monday on Oliver’s attack on “anti-gay” Vice President Mike Pence and Republicans, and the liberal host’s followers’ attack on Charlotte’s book via Amazon:

Oliver released a book called A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo, supposedly written by Marlon Bundo with Jill Twiss, and illustrated by EG Keller. That was designed as a slight against Pence; he launched into a rant about how Pence supposedly hates gay people, then said he would be releasing the competing book. This book is about homosexual rabbits: Marlon is gay and falls in love with Wesley while living at the Naval Observator. The bad guy: Stink Bug, who looks like Mike Pence.

But it wasn’t sufficient to launch a book specifically designed to target an innocent children’s book with propaganda about how Republicans hate gay people/rabbits. Oliver’s followers then went to the Amazon page for Charlotte Pence’s book and spammed it with one-star reviews.

Apparently helping to fight against human trafficking — which one would think is a big part of doing battle against the war on women that liberals are always going on about — is not nearly as important as making a quick buck off of really, really bad satire and taking cheap shots at those you disagree with politically.

Remember when people called out the Obama daughters for wearing some weird t-shirt and folks got really mad saying the president’s family should be off limits?

Strangely, the left doesn’t seem capable of practicing what they preach, as they have ripped, shredded, and delighted in the misery experienced by the families of both Trump and Pence.

Perhaps human decency just isn’t part of the progressive agenda?
