Congressman Tom Suozzi is making waves for a two-sentence clip that has now gone wildly viral.

The New York Democrat has been consistently inconsistent on his immigration stance for years now.

But he left no political wiggle room with these two sentences, as shared by the popular RNC Research account on X.

The so-called ‘moderate’ may have unintentionally nailed himself to a precise policy on the issue once and for all!

Let’s begin right there, with what he actually said — shall we?

Here’s the clip in question, currently standing at 7.6 million views as of the time I am writing:

Let’s address the purple monkey in the room, first.  (I’m going with monkey symbolism for more academic clarity — monkeys are obviously more spastic than elephants, and… he’s not a Republican.)

I headlined this story with the phrase, ‘criminal illegals’, for a very good reason.  It wasn’t just a straight up copy of the RNC’s description.

It was very intentional.

I wanted to highlight the two very different definitions associated with that phrase.

And to illuminate with a white hot light of truth the otherwise murky WIGGLE ROOM politicians love to use as their own political dance floor, vacillating between one definition, then the other, as the circumstantial need demands.

One, two, three — lie, lie.  One, two, three — lie, lie.

I’m fairly certain that’s the classic footwork associated with the political waltz — but don’t quote me.

On one hand, Progressives love to use the phrase ‘criminal illegals’ as a politically correct way of differentiating between illegals who do break the law, as opposed to illegals who DO NOT break the law.

If you’re a well-adjusted member of the sheep herd, you may not see the obvious and ironic lack of logic inherent to that definition.

But that leads us to a more conservative (factual, correct, accurate, precise) definition of the phrase, which I purposefully used in my headline.

And that definition relies on one self-evident reality — ‘illegals’ are by definition… ILLEGAL.

Criminal.

Stay with me.  I promise — the purpose behind all my hairsplitting surrounding that concept will become abundantly clear in just a moment.

I said Congressman Suozzi may have inadvertently nailed himself down to what he REALLY MEANS, once and for all.

Here’s how.

First, check out how extremely cozy the NY Representative says he is with President Trump on fixing the immigration system, according to this from the New York Post:

Long Island Democratic Rep. Tom Suozzi said he’s ready to work with President Trump to fix the country’s broken immigration system — including bolstering border enforcement and cracking down on migrant criminals.

“I know Trump from when I was county executive. He was a real estate executive who donated to my campaign,” Suozzi, who attended the inaugural in Washington, DC, Monday, told The Post.

Suozzi, a moderate, is chairman of the House of Representatives’ Problem Solver Caucus that includes mostly centrist Republicans and Democrats.

“I agree with the president’s emphasis on stopping illegal immigration, deporting criminals and targeting the cartels and organized crime profiting from human exploitation at the southern border,” Suozzi said. (Emphasis added.)

If you noticed, twice in that single story Suozzi was quoted using the phrase “migrant criminals” or simply “criminals” alongside what he termed “illegal immigration”.

But how does Suozzi define those things?

I should point out one key aspect that might paint Congressman Suozzi’s seeming agreement with the Trump immigration plan in a different light.

That story, and his remarks aligning with President Trump, were from January of 2025.

Oh, how the turntables — am I right?

You might see how throwing those terms around could be an effective smokescreen for painting himself as more palatable for both sides of the aisle.

Or, as the term has been used already, a ‘moderate’.

Here’s a much more recent, unvarnished overview of the Congressman’s ‘biggest desire’ in light of his political waltzing, as reported by Breitbart:

A supposedly moderate Democrat says his “biggest desire” is to grant amnesty to millions of wage-cutting illegal migrants.

Suozzi is often described as in the establishment media as a moderate. But his desire for mass amnesty is driven by ideological support for foreigners instead of Americans and by pressure from progressive economic planners and profit-maximizing business groups.

This emotional skew is especially strong among Democrats with many migrants in their districts.

Suozzi’s emotional support for migrants — not citizens — is also backed up by progressives’ eagerness to use migrants for progressive economic priorities such as economic redistribution, regardless of the damage to ordinary citizens.

For example, in January 2026, Suozzi complained that wages are rising because of President Donald Trump’s deportations and his low-migration economic policies:

“We have to expand the [progressive] Affordability Agenda beyond just health insurance… We have to look at all the different factors, even the immigration policy, where we have a million and a half less people in the workforce right now, it’s causing more overtime and having to hire people at higher wages. These are all upward pressure[s] on people’s prices.”

Rising wages help Americans and their families but hurt progressives because they reduce voters’ interest in progressive-style economic planning and redistribution.

Though Suozzi is repeatedly described by the establishment media as a “moderate,” his migration policy is a close match for President Joe Biden’s radical policies.

Under Biden, Mayorkas imported roughly 10 million inadmissible migrants. The inflow suppressed wages, spiked housing costs, inflated the stock market, reduced births — and also helped Trump get elected on a mandate to deport millions of illegal migrants. (Emphasis added.)

Did you notice that statistic referenced by Breitbart for roughly (how many???) people were ‘imported’ by Mayorkas under Biden?

10 million, eh?  You don’t say…

Not to lose sight of the simple surface truth amid all the political masquerading, check out this succinct summation of the entire situation, as one X user put it:

As the man said, rather than enforcing the law — and therefore prioritizing the Americans he purports to serve — Suozzi would rather reward ILLEGAL immigration.

As should be perfectly clear at this point, the Congressman has no qualms about being politically deceptive in order to see it done.

Illegal immigration continues to complicate the House Democrats’ path to a majority, with one swing district Democrat’s shift on the issue complicating the party’s 2026 majority push.

Rep. Tom Suozzi (D., N.Y.) won reelection in 2024, as President Donald Trump carried his district by almost 20,000 votes. Since the election, Suozzi has been trying to tie himself to the president’s immigration policies all year long.

Suozzi’s latest attempt centered on an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, where he said that he backs a deal that would legalize “but not necessarily provide a pathway to citizenship” for illegal immigrants.

This is a seismic shift for the veteran Democrat, who was an original cosponsor of the U.S. Citizenship Act as recently as 2021, which would provide citizenship to illegal immigrants with up to two misdemeanors.

In New York, serious crimes like sexual abuse in the third degree, sexual misconduct, forcible touching, drunk driving, child abuse, violating a restraining order, stalking and strangulation are all classified as misdemeanors.

Had Suozzi had his way, an illegal immigrant convicted of one of those crimes would still have been eligible to receive citizenship.

The bill even included a process for illegal immigrants who were deported during the Trump Administration to apply for and receive amnesty. (Emphasis added.)

One of the most telling parts of that article is the nod to the provision in the 2021 U.S. Citizenship Act that was solely focused on UNDOING any future deportations that may have happened under Trump.

But not only that — it wouldn’t have ONLY brought deportees back, after the fact.

It would have created an amnesty express lane specifically for those who might have been deported by President Trump!

Again, for all Suozzi’s talk of working with President Trump on immigration issues…

I see nothing but empty hyperbole crafted for a specific audience, at a specific point in the election cycle.

And now, with the midterms looming and his own seat hotly contested, he’s simply continuing that political dance maneuver.

One, two, three — lie, lie.  One, two, three — lie, lie.  Better dance faster, Suozzi!  The heat is picking up!

But why is he now, this year, doubling-down on his calls for up to 10 million ILLEGALS to fall under some version of mass-amnesty?

That’s an even bigger number than he’s referenced in the past when making similar statements.

Because, unlike in 2024 — when he JUST BARELY WON his old seat back in the House — President Trump and the Republican Party are laser focused on his particular race this go-around.

And the campaign funding is pouring in to push his GOP rival over the top, with election day coming in just over a month’s time, as reported last week by the local New York Post:

A Trump-aligned Super PAC is spending nearly $8 million to help Republican challenger Mike LiPetri in his bid to topple Long Island Democratic Rep. Tom Suozzi, sources told The Post.

The No Going Back PAC has bought $5.7 million in TV ads over a three-week period, according to a review of TV ad buying from both Democratic and Republican sources.

It’s a rematch between LiPetri, a former state assemblyman, and Suozzi, a former Nassau County executive serving a second stint in the House of Representatives.

Suozzi gave up his House seat to run for governor in 2022, losing in the Democratic primary to Gov. Kathy Hochul. He then won a special election in February 2024 to reclaim his old seat after scandal-scarred Republican Rep. George Santos was expelled.

Suozzi defeated LiPetri by only 3-percentage points in that election — a result that was much closer than pundits and pollsters predicted.

The Republican Party did not invest heavily in the contest in 2024 but Trump at the top of the ticket carried the district during the presidential race, likely helping LiPetri’s surprisingly strong showing.

The Suozzi campaign is running its own TV ads portraying the incumbent as a centrist who rejects extremism.

“I don’t work for parties. I work for you,” Suozzi said in the ad. A narrator adds that the congressman “rejects extremism on both sides because you’re always there on our side.”

No longer willing to gamble for the American vote, Suozzi is therefore going ALL-IN on the ILLEGAL vote.

“And promises of 10 million illegals given amnesty… danced in their heads.”

Are they ‘imported illegals’?  Or are they ‘imported voters’?  Yes — yes, they are!

I have to share how another X user summed up that point in response to the Congressman’s now viral two sentences:

But, one looming question remains.

Will that political longshot, essentially begging illegals to ILLEGALLY VOTE for him to stay in office in exchange for that hoped-for amnesty express lane… pay off?

Or, will it backfire magnificently?

Maybe we should ask one immigrant who actually did it the LEGAL way:

Congressman Suozzi might be well advised to take a key warning under consideration when it comes to all that back-and-forth he’s been doing over the political fence.

Sooner or later, one of those two groups of people you are LYING to is going to demand to see the action behind your rhetoric.

Or, worse yet, both groups might come knocking to collect at the SAME TIME — during the SAME ELECTION.

If that happens, the deceptive magic of “One, two, three — lie, lie.  One, two, three — lie, lie” could prove far less potent a spell than it has been in times now past.
