Other than Barack H. Obama or NYC Mayor DeBlasio, is there a worse person to speak at the funeral of a slain cop than the architect of the Obama-Holder War on Cops?

UPDATE…NY Daily News just published this story: Rev. Al Sharpton announced on Tuesday that he will not give the eulogy for slain NYPD Officer Randolph Holder at his funeral, saying that “union leaders” and other critics are using his participation as a “sideshow” that isn’t fair to the grieving family. 

Slain NYPD Officer Randolph Holder’s fiancée was stunned to hear that the Rev. Al Sharpton was asked to speak at his funeral — because the policeman detested the anti-cop preacher, she told The Post on Monday.

“He didn’t like [Sharpton]. He wasn’t a fan. So I don’t know why [Sharpton] is speaking,’’ Mary Muhammad said.

Sharpton claims that he met with Holder’s father and that the dad asked him to speak at Wednesday’s service.

Sharpton wasted no time in getting flyers printed that highlight his disgusting shake down organization. Notice the flyer mentions that Al Sharpton’s “Fight for Justice” includes supporting the family and friends of officers murdered in the line of duty. If that’s so, then why does he spend so much time promoting hate and “action” against cops?

On Saturday, Sharpton made a condolence call at the elder Holder’s home in Far Rockaway and tweeted a photo of himself with Holder and other family members.

“[Sharpton] was asked by Officer Holder’s father, and he’s expected to speak,” Sharpton rep John Weinstein said Monday.

But law-enforcement sources said Holder’s dad, Randolph Sr., called the NYPD on Monday morning — after news of Sharpton’s supposed invite broke — to tell them he invited the preacher only to attend the funeral, not to address mourners.

The sources added that Sharpton would not be speaking at the service.

Hmmm….I wonder why? Could this have anything to do with the decision of Officer Holder’s fiancé to speak out? 

At Sharpton’s Million Marchers event in New York City, his followers could be heard chanting:“What do we want??….DEAD COPS! When do we want them??…NOW!!!”

Sharpton dodged questions from The Post on Monday afternoon, saying, “An invitation was extended. And I’m not addressing it ’til Wednesday.

“I have not been briefed on what’s going on,” he said regarding the conflicting accounts.

“None of those sources have been involved in what I know . . . I really don’t want to get into this issue.”

The elder Holder, who was a cop in his native Guyana, refused to comment about Sharpton to a Post reporter.

He also shook his head and waved his index finger when told about Muhammad’s remarks.

The plan to have Sharpton address mourners at Holder’s funeral outraged the NYPD’s rank-and-file because of the activist minister’s history of leading protest rallies against alleged police racism and brutality.

“The service needs to be a remembrance of Officer Holder and the sacrifices he made to make this a safer city,” one cop said.

“If Sharpton spoke, the spotlight would be on him, and it would not be on Officer Holder.” Via: NYP
