In iconic fashion, President Trump arrived at his Wisconsin rally in a garbage truck.

As he was riding around in the garbage truck, Trump wore an orange vest over a white dress shirt.

When asked about the truck, Trump said, “This is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.”

When it was time to speak at his rally, Trump didn’t get rid of his orange vest; rather, he kept it on during his speech.

As Trump began his speech, he shared, “I have to begin by saying, 250 million Americans are NOT “garbage!”

He later noted, “I wasn’t going to wear this but they said it makes me look thinner”!

Watch Trump here:

Per AP:

Donald Trump walked down the steps of the Boeing 757 that bears his name, walked across a rain-soaked tarmac and, after twice missing the handle, climbed into the passenger seat of a white garbage truck that also carried his name.

The former president, once a reality TV star known for his showmanship, wanted to draw attention to a remark made a day earlier by his successor, Democratic President Joe Biden, that suggested Trump’s supporters were garbage. Trump has used the remark as a cudgel against his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris.

“How do you like my garbage truck?” Trump said, wearing an orange and yellow safety vest over his white dress shirt and red tie. “This is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.”

Trump and other Republicans were facing pushback of their own for comments by a comedian at a weekend Trump rally who disparaged Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.” Trump then seized on a comment Biden made on a late Wednesday call that “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.”

Per Newsweek:

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said his aides told him wearing a garbage vest made him “look thinner.”

He made the comments at his Green Bay, Wisconsin, rally, where he was still wearing the fluorescent orange vest he wore hours earlier when he was filmed getting into a garbage truck.

The stunt was an apparent response to President Joe Biden appearing to call his supporters “garbage” earlier this week.

In his rally speech, Trump got a big laugh out of the crowd when he said his staff persuaded him to keep the jacket on, rather than wear the signature blue jacket he almost always wears with a red tie for public speeches.
