Nancy Pelosi was speaking to CNN’s Dana Bash about her suggestions for the coronavirus bill and said:
“Everything we are suggesting just relates to Covid-19. It is not about making [policy] for the future… It is not changing policy except as it applies here.”
This is a complete and total lie. Notice that Bash did nothing to push back on Pelosi’s claim.

The best response on Twitter: “Did the Kennedy Center catch coronavirus?” Pelosi wants $35 million for the Kennedy Center!
Yesterday afternoon, Senator Tom Cotton (R-AK) shared a stunning list of items Democrats tried to slip into the coronavirus aid bill that was supposed to help struggling Americans by sending them cash payments that would average about $3,000 per family. The bill was intended to help cash strapped and frightened Americans by expanding unemployment insurance. The bill was supposed to help small businesses by giving them an infusion of aid in the amount of $350 billion while providing $500 billion in loans to industries devastated by the shutdown of businesses and slowed economy.
Democrats had a different idea, however, about the purpose of the bill intended to help struggling Americans and businesses.
Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton tweeted about how Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi interceded in the passing of the Senate bill to stop them at the final hour from passing much-needed help for Americans.
Families and businesses need help now to survive the China virus pandemic. But @SpeakerPelosi walked away from negotiations to write her own bill, full of absurd provisions completely unrelated to the crisis at hand. Here’s what Speaker Pelosi is demanding while Americans suffer:
