Benjamin Netanyahu has been widely criticized for two things leading up to and during the infamous Hamas massacre on October 7th.

Criticized may not even be right word…

Criticized yes, but many are taking it further, highly skeptical about the official story coming from Netanyahu and his government.

Let’s discuss those two issues.

First, many are skeptical that one of the most sophisticated Intelligence agencies in the world, the Mossad, could really be caught so off-guard by the attack, especially by such a rag-tag enemy that essentially lives in your backyard.

Many find that impossible to believe.

Many believe Israel knows every time Hamas so much as sneezes.

So how in the world could they miss this?

The second is related — the second criticism and question is whether there was a stand-down order given, because Israel seemingly did not respond for 7 hours.

Again, how can that be?

Well, it seems as though Benjamin Netanyahu had heard enough of those claims and finally responded, essentially throwing his top Generals under the bus.

He published the following Tweet, which we bring to you as a screenshot because it has since been deleted:

The post came following a press conference in which he was challenged by reporters on his policies and failures that led to the Oct. 7 attacks.

In other words, it seems as though he reacted emotionally and then later regretted the post.

He then posted this apology, explaining he was wrong:

Unfortunately for “Bibi” that apology may be too little, too late.

He was already embattled and on his way out before this attack hit, I have to think top Generals don’t take too kindly to being thrown under the bus.

Something tells me they will not forget this attack, and I doubt an “apology tweet” is going to smooth things over.

Is Netanyahu melting down?

Cracking under the pressure?

Any way you slice it, this was a terrible reaction.

Here’s more from The Jewish Press:

It should be pointed out that the coalition of left-wing groups and media that attacked Netanyahu relentlessly in 2011 to approve that insane deal – while the right was adamantly against it – is almost identical to the left-media coalition that later ignited the Balfour protests demanding Netanyahu’s resignation starting in 2019, the Kaplan protests that spread to the whole country in response to the judicial reform, and the movement demanding today the release of some 6,000 Hamas security prisoners in exchange for the estimated 230 Israeli hostages in Hamas’ hands.

As to the claim that it was his strategy to boost Hamas to play it against the PLO, Netanyahu said at the press conference: “I didn’t want to strengthen Hamas. I ran three wars against it. I weakened Hamas’ capabilities. In retrospect, it wasn’t enough.”

And from Reuters:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday took a jab at his intelligence chiefs, saying they never warned him Hamas was planning its wide-scale attack on Oct. 7 and causing a political uproar and a rift within his war cabinet.

Netanyahu, who has drawn public ire for not taking responsibility over the intelligence and operational failures surrounding Hamas’ rampage through southern Israel, later erased the remarks posted on social media platform X at 1 a.m. Sunday (about 2300 GMT on Saturday)…

…Israel’s military spokesperson, asked about Netanyahu’s comments during a daily briefing with reporters, declined to respond, saying: “We are now at war, focused on the war.”

Netanyahu’s post had said: “At no time and no stage was a warning given to Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding war intentions of Hamas. On the contrary, all security officials, including the head of army intelligence and the head of the Shin Bet, estimated that Hamas was deterred and interested in an arrangement.”

Was President Trump right again?

Did he warn us in advance about Netanyahu?

President Trump Telling Us To Watch Benjamin Netanyahu?

President Trump is famous for shining a light on problem situations and problem people and using sunlight as a disinfectant.

I’m not saying that’s what’s going on here, but I am saying it has piqued my interest and made me do one of these: 👀

I’m talking specifically about President Trump’s speech the other night in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Full link is here in case you missed it:

In that speech, President Trump suddenly stops to tell a story he had never told before about the raid on Soleimani.

He surprises the crowd by announcing that Israel was supposed to do that raid with us, and then backed out at the last minute.

That was under Netanyahu’s leadership.

Trump said he was disappointed when that happened.

Very interesting he would choose now to share that story.

Watch the short clip here:

Shorter version here:

Could be much ado about nothing, or it could be classic Trump shining a spotlight.

He has since posted several very pro-Israel messages to make clear he stands with Israel and the Jewish people:

There was also this moment and even if you watch with the sound down, the body language is very apparent.

This is an older clip but perhaps shows that the close friendship between the two has soured?

If President Trump is shining a giant spotlight on Netanyahu, is it because a stand-down order was given?

A 6-hour stand-down order?

Patrick Bet-David asked yesterday morning on his podcast whether there was a stand-down order given, and I think that’s a fair question.

Why would you ever do that, you ask?

Simple: you want to be brought into a war.

You want to be given justification on the world stage for wiping out your enemy.

You can’t strike first, then you’re the aggressor.

PBD is about as mainstream and level-headed as they come.

Here he is asking if a stand-down order was given:

Oh my….

I sure hope that’s not the case.

Shifting back to the Soleimani story, it’s so interesting to back in time now and look at the story in light of what President Trump just shared.

Here is a story we wrote 4-years ago after Soleimani was taken out — see how it holds up after 4-years and now that we know the previously-untold story about Israel backing out of the raid:

Netanyahu Praises Trump For Taking Out Soleimani, Says Israel Stands By U.S.

The U.S. has a true ally in Israel and their PM Benjamin Netanyahu, who has praised President Trump for taking out mututal enemy Qaessem Soleimani.

In response to Trump ordering the successful precision strike against the Iranian commander, Netanyahu spoke,

“President Trump is worthy of full appreciation for acting swiftly, forcefully and decisively. We stand fully by the United States in its just battle for security, peace and self-defense.”

He added,

“Just as Israel has the right of self-defense, the United States has exactly the same right.”

Check out Netanyahu’s breaking reaction to the news of Soleimani’s death that hit Twitter:

The New York Post has more to say on this:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised President Trump on Friday for approving the strike that killed top Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani after cutting short a visit to Greece to monitor the situation from Jerusalem.

“President Trump is worthy of full appreciation for acting swiftly, forcefully and decisively,” he told reporters before departing Greece to head back to Israel.

“We stand fully by the United States in its just battle for security, peace and self-defense,” Netanyahu said, adding that “just as Israel has the right of self-defense, the United States has exactly the same right.”

“Qassem Soleimani is responsible for the death of American citizens and many other innocent people. He was planning more such attacks,” he said.

Netanyahu had earlier instructed government officials not to comment about the killing and they also were mum on whether Israel had provided any intelligence or support for the mission.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Defense Ministry put the country’s embassies and offices on “high alert” across the globe amid Iranian threats of revenge against the US and the Jewish state for the killing of the powerful commander of the elite Quds Force.

An Israeli ski resort near the Syrian border that was the site of a previous missile attack was shuttered due to concerns of a possible strike, the Times of Israel reported.

Defense Minister Naftali Bennett also convened a meeting at the military headquarters in Tel Aviv of security and intelligence chiefs to deal with the possible repercussions of the Soleimani killing, according to the news outlet.

Reuters added the following on Netanyahu’s statement:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that the United States had the right to defend itself by killing senior Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani.

“Just as Israel has the right of self-defense, the United States has exactly the same right,” Netanyahu said in a statement issued by his office.

“Qassem Soleimani is responsible for the death of American citizens and many other innocent people. He was planning more such attacks.”
