According to The Hill-HarrisX Poll, 70% of Republicans doubted Mr. Trump could make a return to the Oval Office this year, 74% of independents and 87% of Democrats agreed.

However, 30% of Republicans, 26% of independents, and 13% of Democrats believe a Trump return to the White House is likely this year, believing he can and will be reinstated.

These numbers are not reflective of the percentages of voters that still support Donald Trump, and believe he was the true winner of the 2020 election. Those numbers are far higher. They are, instead, percentages of those that believe that reinstatement after proof of fraud is possible. Allegedly, there is no constitutional mechanism that would allow President Trump to take over a sitting president’s position, apparently, even if the seat was stolen, since the results of the Electoral College were certified by a weak and frightened Congress in January.

The poll was conducted online with 942 registered voters. According to The Hill, the margin of error is plus or minus 3.19 percentage points. No breakdown of party affiliation was listed.
