Rep. Jeff Van Drew just made it official…He’s switching to the Republican Party.

He made the announcement during an Oval Office meeting with President Trump.

Van Drew commented on the move:

“This is just a better fit for me. There were other times in my life when I thought about this.”

Rep. Van Drew came out last week to say he was leaving the Democratic Party.

He didn’t confirm until today that he would be joining Republicans in support of President Trump.

Rep. Van Drew commented last week on how the impeachment was not bipartisan and that it was supposed to be:

“It was supposed to be bipartisan; it was supposed to be incontrovertible. It was supposed to be something that was always on the rarest of circumstances. Well, it’s not bipartisan.”

Re. Van Drew spoke with Tucker Carlson last September about being against impeachment (see below).
