The Kansas City Chiefs star running back, Kareem Hunt, who led the league in rushing last season, and had seven touchdowns in 11 games, has been fired.

According to the New York Post, Kansas City announced Friday it had released the star running back hours after a video that showed him pushing and kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel was published by TMZ.com.

***Warning*** video contains graphic images:

The Chiefs, in a statement, acknowledged they were made aware of an incident involving Hunt, which occurred in February, but he lied to them during their talks with him.

“At that time, the National Football League and law enforcement initiated investigations into the issue,” the statement read. “As part of our internal discussions with Kareem, several members of our management team spoke directly to him. Kareem was not truthful in those discussions. The video released today confirms that fact. We are releasing Kareem immediately.”

NFL players ruined the sport for tens of thousands of fans when they made the decision to follow the now-unemployed NFL quarterback, Colin Kaepernick and kneel during the pre-game honoring of our flag. The idea behind kneeling during our National Anthem was to draw attention to the violence, NFL players claimed was commonly used against blacks by law enforcement.

Kareem Hunt, who is seen brutally attacking a young white female in the hallway of his hotel room, was one of those NFL players who was seen sitting during the National Anthem, as seen in the photo below.

“Scott B” tweeted an image of the player sitting on the sidelines, saying: I am sure when Kareem Hunt sat during the National Anthem he was in quiet contemplation about the inappropriateness of hitting and kicking a woman. If the #NFL did discourage the #Cheifs from obtaining the damning video, they have learned nothing about the fan base they lost.

The NFL…where a man can beat a woman and still get away with kneeling during our national anthem to protest violence.
