The Daily Mail is reporting that a New Jersey Muslim man, Ali Hassan Saab, who became a U.S. citizen in 2008,  has been accused of conducting intelligence-gathering operations for Hezbollah including in Times Square, Boston’s Fenway Park and The Capitol building in Washington D.C.

Hezbollah is an Iran-backed Lebanese Shia terror group, who, like U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), is committed to confronting Israel and defending the Palestinians.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Alexei Saab, 42, of Morristown was charged Thursday in a nine-count indictment for offenses related to his support for the terrorist outfit and separate marriage-fraud offenses.

He is alleged to have joined Hezbollah in 1996 before lawfully entering the US using a Lebanese passport in 2000 and becoming a naturalized citizen in 2008.

Al Jazeera reports- The battle-hardened Hezbollah fighters played a key role in turning the tide of Syria’s war in favour of President Bashar al-Assad, a key Iran ally.

“From the beginning, since Hezbollah was born three decades ago, Palestine has been central to their cause,” Al Jazeera’s Khodr said.

“Up until a few years ago, Hezbollah was portrayed as a resistance movement.

“But it lost a lot of popularity and legitimacy when it intervened in Syria, with its opponents accusing it of being a sectarian militia that is serving Iran’s interests.

Hezbollah is believed to have a massive arsenal of rockets capable of hitting much of Israel’s territory.

Israel fought a war against Hezbollah in Lebanon in 2006 that killed more than 1,200 Lebanese, mostly civilians, and 120 Israelis, most of them soldiers.

Locations including the United Nations headquarters, the Statue of Liberty, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, the Empire State Building, and local airports, tunnels, and bridges are said to have been under his surveillance.

And Saab, arrested on July 9, is said to have provided detailed information on these locations to Hezbollah, including photographs and their structural weaknesses.

Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers said: ‘According to the allegations, while living in the United States, Saab served as an operative of Hizballah and conducted surveillance of possible target locations in order to help the foreign terrorist organization prepare for potential future attacks against the United States.

‘Such covert activities conducted on U.S. soil are a clear threat to our national security and I applaud the agents, analysts, and prosecutors who are responsible for this investigation and prosecution.’

On September 6, 2019, we reported about Abdul-Majeed Marouf Ahmed Alani, a Muslim American working for  American Airlines as a mechanic, who was arrested after being accused of sabotaging a plane with 150 passengers headed for the Bahamas from Miami, Florida.

The American Airlines mechanic accused of having ties to ISIS  was at a hearing on Wednesday where he was denied bail on accounts from prosecutors that he shared ISIS videos and said he had an “evil side.”

Prosecutors said Abdul-Majeed Marouf Ahmed Alani allegedly made statements showing support for ISIS. He said he wished Allah would use ‘divine powers’ to harm non-Muslims and shared ISIS videos on his phone.

Alani told authorities about his  “evil side” and said that he “wanted to do something to delay” the plane “to get overtime.”

He isn’t charged with terrorism but his links to ISIS  and other comments he made, point to a more sinister plot even though he claims it was a labor issue to get overtime.

Islamic Terrorists are not going to stop trying to commit acts of terror in America. We must elect lawmakers who understand and are willing to address the seriousness of this national security issue. These are not just “some people” who want to do something; they’re Islamic terrorists who wish to inflict the maximum amount of pain on “evil” Americans. Thank goodness, we have a lot of outstanding people working in our intelligence community who can stop plots like these before they materialize.
