On Monday morning rescue crews found the body of Obama’s personal chef Tafari Campbell in Edgartown Great Pond which is located near Obama’s mansion in Martha Vineyards.
According to authorities Campbell was out paddle boarding but then somehow was submersed into the water where he struggled to stay afloat and eventually drowned.
Shortly after reports surfaced that he drowned many people noticed that previously on his Instagram Campbell posted videos of himself swimming.

The 911 call for the personal chef of Barack Obama reported a ‘possible drowning’ near the Martha’s Vineyard estate, sending rescue crews scrambling to find him.
On Monday, rescue crews found the body of Tafari Campbell, 45, in 8ft of water where he had been paddle boarding.
Campbell, a longtime chef for the Obamas, vanished Sunday evening while he was out with another on Edgartown Great Pond, Massachusetts.
He was last seen struggling to stay above water. When dispatchers sent crews to the scene, they relayed: ‘Edgartown Fire and Water rescue personnel… For a 40-year-old male, possible drowning.’
The investigation into his drowning continues as the Obamas posted a heartfelt tribute to the cook.
