Republican Maria Elvira Salazar has defeated incumbent Rep. Donna Shalala and will become the next U.S. Congresswoman in Florida’s 27th Congressional District.
Tampa Bay – Shalala’s’ District 27 seat was a bit of a surprise as many outlets had listed the district “likely” or “solid” Democrat.
Shalala, who served as secretary of Health and Human Services under President Bill Clinton and is a former University of Miami president, raised $3.4 million. Salazar, a former television journalist, raised $3.14 million.
Earlier today, Rep. Donna Shalala wore an “I love Dr. Fauci” mask and told voters that if they are in the line to vote at 7 pm EST, to stay in line and have their vote counted.

Unfortunately, for the Trump-hating Democrat in a Democrat stronghold district, voters did stay in line, but they weren’t all voting for her. Instead of retaining the Democrat Rep. voters in the Hispanic majority district went for her Republican opponent, journalist and GOP candidate, Maria Elvira Salazar.
Another BIG win for House Rs. Maria Elvira Salazar (R) ousts freshman Rep Donna Shalala (D) in #FL27
Rs held this seat until 2018 but Hillary Clinton won it by 20 points in 2016 and Dems were not nervous here. https://t.co/E5ule8H3ZH

Another bit of big news that has been completely ignored by the dishonest mainstream media is that TWO House seats were flipped Democrat to Republican in the blue county of Miami Dade!
Pretty big news. Two seats were flipped in Miami Dade, the biggest upset being Maria Elvira Salazar over Donna Shalala
