RuPauls’ DragCon 2022 event took place in Los Angeles this month and featured drag queens from across the country who encouraged children at the event to get up on stage and dance with them for money.

While it is already wholly inappropriate for children to be at this event, it is even more disturbing to see the video that shows at least two kids up on stage “dropping it low” and getting handed money from the crowd of adults they’re dancing in front of.

DragCon, an event that encouraged the sexualization of children, was sponsored by many large organizations including streaming service Paramount+, JoAnn’s craft and fabric store, Anastasia Beverly Hills makeup, and other major brands.

These sponsors are now receiving backlash for sponsoring this event from parents who are horrified by the events that took place at the drag queen show.
