Parents at a United Nations school in New York are complaining about an invitation sent by First Lady Melania Trump to students, asking them to join her in ringing the opening bell on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on Monday.

Parents who received a notice about the invitation had a meltdown, citing the counseling that was needed for their children after President Trump won the election in 2016.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is a real thing. Perhaps these parents should worry less about getting counseling for their children, and instead, should focus on their own mental health issues.

New York Daily News reports – A notice went out Monday to parents of students at the United Nations International School asking children to join the first lady to tour the Stock Exchange and ring the opening bell next week.

There is only room for 10 students on the tour, but that was enough to rile some parents who said they’re concerned the kids will be used as political props.

“I am profoundly disappointed by the decision to accept this invitation,” said one UN worker and parent in a letter to a UN undersecretary-general.

The parent added others are concerned the children’s’ “appearance together with the First Lady confers, by extension, on this U.S. administration, the endorsement of our school and our community.”

The parent also points out in the letter that the school organized grief counseling and special activities with students to cope with the shock after President Trump’s election win.

“The sentiment is extremely strong,” the parent wrote. The parent said the school should not have accepted the invitation.

People talk about the divide in our country and wonder if things will go “back to normal?” How can things ever go “back to normal” in America when there are so many parents teaching their children to hate other people who don’t agree with them? The divide in America is not about Trump; it’s about liberals not having the ability to bully conservatives and not being able to control the narrative.
