Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi told CNN’s Christine Amanpour that there is “no taint” of anti-Semitism in the Democrat Party. No taint? What is she talking about?

Amanpour asked Pelosi, “Are you concerned that your opposition, going toward the next election, or however they wish to use it, will use that, to call—as the President has done, you know, that the Democrats are not the party or friend to the Jews?” Pelosi seemed stunned by her question, and told the CNN host that she would not respond to her question, because she was overseas. Pelosi told Amanpour, “We have no taint of that in the Democratic Party, and just because they want to accuse somebody of that doesn’t mean— uh, that we take that bait.”

Amanpour asked Pelosi about the flippant comments about 9-11 Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN) made to a room full of Muslims at a recent meeting with CAIR in Los Angeles. The CNN host suggested that perhaps Pelosi wasn’t swift enough to defend her fellow Democrat congresswoman. Pelosi attempted to respond, bumbling for the right words, “Well, I haven’t had a chance to speak with her,” saying that she doesn’t even know what Omar said, but that she knows what the president did “was not right.”

Watch:

On April 12, 2019, President Trump called out flippant remarks made by Omar at a CAIR event in March, where she referred to the 9-11 terror attack by Islamic terrorists as, “Some people did something.”
