Nancy Pelosi has mastered the art of the dodge. When she’s rarely asked a serious question, she dodges it with some snarky answer, and then there is never a follow-up question. The media is also to blame for not pushing her with a follow-up question.

Pelosi was asked by a reporter why there was no bribery charge in the impeachment of President Trump. It’s an important question because both articles of impeachment that Trump was charged on do not rise to the level of high crimes and misdemeanors needed to impeach (see below).

Watch as Pelosi does her best to keep her dentures in while trying to dodge a reporter’s question:

She’s trying to make a joke and deliver a little snark with it. What she’s doing to President Trump is no laughing matter and nothing to joke about.

The problem is that there is nothing impeachable here and Pelosi knows it:

“What they’re doing is constitutionally wrong. It is a raw power play that appears to be unprecedented in American history.”

“There is something profoundly wrong…in not being as transparent as possible.” – Ken Starr

“I don’t think there is anything close to an impeachable offense here.”  – Ken Starr

Starr also spoke further about the sham impeachment to Fox News’ Bill Hemmer:

“My assessment of the evidence? Nowhere close. The evidence is conflicting and ambiguous.”

Starr continued that the evidence doesn’t “reach the level of treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”

“Not the stuff of impeachment”

“The record at the end of the day is likely to be ambiguous at best, conflicting at best … and you shouldn’t charge and you cannot convict a sitting president on the basis of conflicting and ambiguous evidence and destabilize the American government.”

“So, at least, I hope the Democrats will have that conversation about we don’t like the way the foreign policy was conducted here, the delay and so forth. That’s debatable, but it is not the stuff of impeachment.”
