Nancy Pelosi’s weekly press conference is always entertaining. The things that come out of her mouth are shocking. Whether she’s babbling, stuttering or saying something only she understands, it’s something to watch every Thursday.
This week was no exception. She said she personally would support lowering the national voting age to 16:
“I myself, personally, not speaking for my caucus, I myself have always been for lowering the voting age to 16. I think it’s really important to capture kids when they’re in high school when they’re interested in all of this and learning about government to be able to vote.”

“Some of the priorities in this bill are about transparency, openness, and accessibility, and the rest. That’s a subject of debate and I would welcome it, but I’ve held this position for a long time.”
Chuck Woolery said it best when he replied to Pelosi’s comment on Twitter:
We don't need to lower the voting age. We need to increase it.

Lowering the voting age was introduced as an amendment by Rep. Pressley to the “For The People Act”. H.R. 1 would overhaul our elections and campaign finance laws. The amendment failed in the House.
