Former Vice President Mike Pence has continued to signal that he may run for President in 2024.

While most of the attention has been on President Trump’s recent announcement and on whether Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will choose to run against him or not, Pence has been quietly mulling a bid for the office as well.

Trump and DeSantis have continually polled the highest when likely Republican voters are asked about their preference for the primary, with some recent polls showing the two neck and neck.

For his part, Pence has polled in the single digits along with other potential Presidential hopefuls such as former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley and former Trump Secretary of State Mike Pompeo

Pence has offered only tepid criticism of Trump and praised his accomplishments during his 2016 term so far.

Former Vice President Mike Pence continues to tease a run against former President Donald Trump in 2024.
Pence says that he and his family are giving the possibility “prayerful consideration” over the holidays.

“A win is a win. I was in Congress the last time that we defeated a Democrat majority led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the day that Pelosi hands the gavel to Speaker Kevin McCarthy is going to be a great day for America and an opportunity for us to start our way back to the policies that the Trump-Pence administration proved make our country secure and prosperous and ensures the vitality of our liberties,” Pence told Breitbart News. “I welcome that, and I celebrate the election of a Republican majority in the House of Representatives without qualification.”
