President Trump held a press conference at the White House today to declare the coronavirus outbreak a national emergency.

The president spoke in the Rose Garden, saying “we will overcome the threat.”

GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel: Once again, President Trump is taking aggressive action to confront coronavirus.

“To unleash the full power of the federal government, I am officially declaring a national emergency.”

This move unleashes emergency funds of $50 billion to help with trying to curb the virus with more testing and medical attention.

President Trump has also taken measures to help the economy through this difficult time. Stimulus measures helped the DOW rise nearly 2,000 points today.

The Target, Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens promised to do everything they can to help in the fight against the coronavirus:

The Walmart CEO was at the presser and announced he’d be offering space for drive-thru testing. Apparently, that wasn’t enough for the Democrats who took to social media to bash the Walmart CEO.
