Whoa…

President Trump just called out Republican Rep. Thomas Massie — to put it lightly.

In a post on Truth Social, President Trump compared Rep. Massie to Liz Cheney and declared that he is willing to “lead the charge” to primary the Kentucky Congressman!

“He’s just another GRANDSTANDER,” President Trump said, “who’s too much trouble, and not worth the fight.”

Ouch.

Thank you to the House Freedom Caucus for just delivering a big blow to the Radical Left Democrats and their desire to raise Taxes and SHUT OUR COUNTRY DOWN! They hate America and all it stands for. That’s why they allowed MILLIONS of Criminals to invade our Nation. Sometimes it takes great courage to do the right thing. Congressman Thomas Massie, of beautiful Kentucky, is an automatic “NO” vote on just about everything, despite the fact that he has always voted for Continuing Resolutions in the past. HE SHOULD BE PRIMARIED, and I will lead the charge against him. He’s just another GRANDSTANDER, who’s too much trouble, and not worth the fight. He reminds me of Liz Chaney before her historic, record breaking fall (loss!). The people of Kentucky won’t stand for it, just watch. DO I HAVE ANY TAKERS??? Anyway, thank you again to the House Freedom Caucus for your very important vote. We need to buy some time in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE. Unite and Win!!!

For some context, President Trump was referring to the Republican House Freedom Caucus backing a stopgap funding package, which, if passed, would greatly boost the possibility of passing a funding bill without Democrat support.

The Critical Resolutions (CR) bill must pass by March 15th to prevent a government shutdown.

Per Bloomberg:

The ultra-conservative House Freedom Caucus threw its backing behind a stopgap funding package, bolstering Speaker Mike Johnson’s attempt to pass the bill without the help of House Democrats and avert a government shutdown on March 15.

The vote on the stopgap is set for Tuesday and Johnson can likely only afford to lose two Republicans on the measure if Democrats line up uniformly against it.

Rep. Thomas Massie has said that he is a hard no on the spending bill.

We reported on that here:

What do you think?

Do you agree with President Trump?

Should Rep. Massie be primaried?
