President Trump has endorsed Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) in the Georgia Senate GOP primary ahead of Tuesday’s runoff.
Collins faces former football coach Derek Dooley in the runoff after the May 19 primary.
“It is my Great Honor to endorse ‘MAGA’ Mike Collins, a Highly Respected Congressman who has been with me from the very beginning, and is running for the United States Senate in Georgia, a very special place to me, and where we just had a BIG Presidential Election Win with the Most Votes Received by any single Candidate in Georgia’s History, for any Election. Mike is strongly supported by the most Highly Respected MAGA Patriots in Georgia and beyond, and many Republicans in the U.S. House and Senate — He is a WARRIOR and WINNER!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“A very successful Businessman prior to becoming a distinguished U.S. Congressman, Mike has brilliantly served his Community, during a career loaded with accolades and wins, always fighting tirelessly for our America First Agenda. As your next Senator, Mike will continue to work hard to Grow the Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Champion American Energy DOMINANCE, Strengthen our incredible Military/Veterans, Advance Election Integrity, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Murderers, and other Criminals from illegally entering our Country, Ensure LAW AND ORDER, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment,” he continued.

“Mike, who like me is all about AMERICA FIRST, is running against a Radical Left Dumocrat named Jon Ossoff, a weak and pathetic Senator who tried to raise Taxes by over 4 Trillion Dollars, and voted against all of our Tax Cuts, including NO TAX ON TIPS, NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY, and NO TAX ON OVERTIME. Ossoff voted for Men in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, Open Borders, and Record High Taxes that, under Crooked Joe Biden, destroyed the American Economy, including 401(k)s and Market Numbers, which are now at the highest point, EVER! He is an Open Border Advocate wanting Criminals of every variety, including 11,888 Murderers, to pour into our Country totally unchecked and unvetted. We are the opposite! I created the Strongest Border in History, and Congressman Mike Collins backed me up all the way,” Trump said.
“Jon Ossoff wants to abolish our Borders, stop deporting Criminal Illegal Aliens, and supports dangerous ‘Soft on Crime’ Policies like cashless bail, that let repeat Violent Criminals roam free on our streets. He voted AGAINST Voter I.D., and also, fought strongly against Proof of Citizenship, but is in favor of allowing Illegal Aliens to vote in our Sacred Elections. He is a Radical Left Lunatic, a Dumocrat, and doesn’t represent the values of the Great People of Georgia. I beat him years ago in a Congressional Race where he was winning by a lot until I offered my Endorsement, my Candidate won, easily, and that’s going to happen again because Jon Ossoff doesn’t have what it takes. He is a laughingstock in Washington, he is weak and pathetic! All he’s got is money provided by Radical Left people looking to destroy our Country. He is Reckless, Radical, and Dangerous. But first things first! Mike has to beat a Republican Opponent before he gets to Ossoff,” Trump continued.
“I don’t know Derek Dooley, and neither does anyone else, but he seems like a nice person. Unfortunately, he has lived outside of Georgia for most of his life, didn’t vote in 2020 or 2016, and said that I lost Georgia in 2020 when, in actuality, the facts have now proven that I won by a lot!” he added.

Fox News shared further:
While Dooley has emphasized his outsider image and targeted Collins as a political insider, Collins has criticized him for a lack of political experience and for living outside of Georgia for much of his adult life.
Both candidates have some political baggage.
The House Ethics Committee launched an inquiry into Collins over allegations he paid an intern in a district office who had a romantic relationship with his congressional chief of staff but who did not actually perform any work. Collins denied any wrongdoing and kept the staffer on his Senate campaign.
But the staffer was later fired by Collins after taking to social media on behalf of the campaign to mock the wife of a Dooley campaign advisor who attempted suicide after accusing Matt Lauer of rape. The social media post was deleted and Collins apologized, calling the tweet “despicable and unauthorized.”
Dooley, over the past week, was reportedly accused of being part of a “pay to play” scandal involving brother Daniel Dooley, and the governor. Dooley and Kemp have denied any wrongdoing, but Democrats in the legislature requested an independent investigation.
“Mr. President, happy birthday and thank you for your complete and total endorsement. I will always deliver for Georgia, and it’s an honor to have you in the fight!” Collins said.

NBC News has more:
Collins’ campaign launched a TV ad during the runoff where Collins says, “I stand with President Trump,” and features footage of Trump praising Collins as “fantastic.” Collins also recently hired some of Trump’s top campaign aides, Axios reported.
ADVERTISEMENTDooley, though, has had a major backer on his side in Gov. Brian Kemp, who has clashed with Trump over the president’s false claims that the 2020 election was stolen.
The governor is personally close with the Dooley family — Dooley’s father was a legendary University of Georgia football coach — and Kemp and his wife have continued to join Dooley on the campaign trail ahead of the runoff. Kemp also appeared in Dooley campaign ads, which have pitched Dooley as a political outsider who will “work with President Trump and always put Georgia first.”
Dooley has outspent Collins on the airwaves since the primary, according to AdImpact, but Collins has noted that he was outspent in the primary, too, arguing that he has strong grassroots support.
The winner of Tuesday’s runoff will face Sen. Jon Ossoff, the only Democratic senator running for re-election in a state Trump won in 2024.
