President Donald Trump has repeatedly called out what he dubbed the “fake news” emanating from mainstream media regarding his administration.
Most recently, he criticized one prominent network news anchor in particular.
According to The Hill:
President Trump said Sunday that NBC News’s “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker will be reported to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) after she reportedly said that Trump-endorsed candidates have had mixed results this election cycle.
“Kristen Welker, the Unpopular ‘Hostess’ of the once great Meet the Press, now considered Meet the Fake Press, just stated that Donald Trump has ‘mixed results’ on his Endorsements of Candidates, when the recent WINS of Darline Graham and Mike Mazzei, stand at 100% for the U.S. Senate, and 98% for the U.S. House, recently and over the longterm,” the president wrote on Truth Social.

Trump is right to call Kristen Welker out. If she will lie about his endorsement record, she will lie about anything.
Bill Maher already corrected himself on air after Trump sent him the numbers. Maher is a comedian. Welker is supposed to be a news anchor. Calling a mid-90s win rate “mixed results” is not a slip. It is a narrative.
The press has done this for decades. Soften every win. Inflate every loss. Then act shocked when people stop trusting the product.
Calling that out is one of the most useful things Trump does. Accurate information is not optional. A country that lets anchors rewrite the scoreboard on purpose is not informing the public. It is managing it.
Report it to the FCC. Fine the network. Make the lie expensive.
Fox News added these details:
“How can anyone be allowed to say this, working for freely given Public Airwaves? Results are attached,” Trump continued. “Because of this purposeful inaccuracy, she will be reported to the FCC for rebuke or punishment. Unfortunately, she is not the only one.”
NBC News defended Welker in a statement to Fox News Digital on Sunday, backing its “Meet the Press” moderator following Trump’s threat.

Welker did not make the remark during Sunday’s “Meet the Press” broadcast. She made it earlier on Sunday during a live preview appearance on NBC4 Washington, saying Trump had endorsed “a slate of candidates in the primaries” and “had some mixed results.”
