In what President Trump described as a “highly sophisticated version of The Apprentice”, President Trump claims he has whittled his VP list down to four names.

Actually “four or five” he then says.

This all comes from a brand new radio interview he did over with the boys at The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show.

President Trump confirmed the decision has not fully or finally been made in his head yet, although he does have some intuition kicking in:  “You know, I may be leaning one way, and that changes sometimes, you know, all of a sudden you see something that you like or you don’t like, and you lean a little bit differently, but we have some very good… we have a very good bench.”

He also says he would love to announce the VP at the Republican National Convention or perhaps a few days earlier:  “I’d love to do it during the convention, which would be, you know, or just slightly before the convention, like Monday. I’d love to do it on Tuesday or Wednesday, actually, but for a lot of complex reasons that you people understand, you pretty much don’t do that.”

He confirms the list is down to four or five candidates: “I got to know them very well. I’d say four people, you know, four or five people, but I got to know them very well. Some dropped out over the course of… They didn’t drop… there were reasons why they wouldn’t have done as well.”

And then he proceeded to named Tim Scott, Marco Rubio, JD Vance and Doug Burgum: “I watched him [Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC)] on television yesterday; he was fierce and great. I watched Marco over the weekend on television; he was incredible. JD’s been great. You have a man named Burgum, who’s a fantastic governor in North Dakota. And you know, it’s a state that’s very, very prosperous, very successful. And he’s done a good job there.”

Honestly, I’m not loving any of those four, but holding out hope that President Trump is simply running misdirection and the actual VP will be whoever this mysterious 5th option is.

I’m still holding out hope for Vivek.

I would have loved Kari Lake, but she wants to be Senator.

Will it be a total surprise like a Don Jr.?

Someone else?
