During National Rifle Association’s National Convention in Dallas this past weekend, President Trump revealed something I have never heard him say before.

“I want to move to Texas and I want to retire in Texas… a lot of people are moving to Texas!” Trump said.

President Trump has visited the state many times, 18 visits during his presidency and 13 times after his first term in the White House.

Texas is not all that surprising given it is a red state with a great Governor and strong conservative values, but with such a strong connection to Florida, you would have expected that to be the top choice.

While some are treating this as a definitive statement, it’s probably more likely that this was simply a fun campaign statement while visiting the Lone Star State.
