Just give President Trump the Nobel Peace Prize already!

Just one day after securing a historic peace agreement between Israel and Hamas, President Trump has now giving a timeline for when members of Hamas will release Israeli hostages.

Trump while speaking to the press at the White House shared that the hostages should be released around Monday or Tuesday.

CNN reported more details on Trump’s timeline for Israeli hostages to be released:

US President Donald Trump said the remaining hostages held by Hamas will be released from Gaza on Monday or Tuesday next week, and that he is still aiming to travel to the region to mark the occasion.

“I think it’s going to be a lasting peace, hopefully an everlasting peace. Peace in the Middle East,” he said at the start of a Cabinet meeting at the White House on Thursday.

“We secured the release of all of the remaining hostages, and they should be released on Monday or Tuesday,” he added. “Getting them is a complicated process. I’d rather not tell you what they have to do to get them. There are places you don’t want to be. But we are getting the hostages back on Tuesday — Monday or Tuesday — and that’ll be a day of joy.”

Trump said he would “try and make a trip over” to mark the moment, including a stop in Egypt for an “official signing” to mark the agreement.

Trump also made the announcement while in a phone interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity.

AP reported as part of the agreement Israel will also release Palestinian prisoners:

Israel and Hamas have agreed to a pause in their devastating two-year war and the release of the remaining hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners — a breakthrough greeted Thursday with joy and relief but also caution.

Uncertainty remains about aspects of the broader ceasefire plan advanced by the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump — such as whether and how Hamas will disarm and who will govern Gaza. But the sides appear closer than they have been in months to ending a war that has killed tens of thousands of Palestinians, reduced much of Gaza to rubble, brought famine to parts of the territory and left dozens of hostages, living and dead, in Gaza.

The war, which began with Hamas’ deadly attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, has also triggered other conflicts in the region, sparked worldwide protests and led to allegations of genocide that Israel denies.
