President Trump told Israel and Iran on Monday to stop shooting at each other, and he wanted it done immediately.
That demand came as the ceasefire frayed under overnight missile fire and a fresh round of strikes.
According to JNS, the president’s posts landed while U.S. officials were trying to keep the fighting from spinning out of control.
Trump did not hedge. He said both sides should be moving toward an immediate ceasefire and that final talks on peace were underway.
JNS reported the president’s message in his own words on Truth Social:
Israel and Iran must “immediately stop shooting,” U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday.
In a subsequent post on his Truth Social platform, Trump claimed that “both sides, Israel and Iran, are looking to do an immediate ceasefire.”
“Final negotiations on ‘peace’ are proceeding, subject to ignorance or stupidity getting in its way. The blockade will remain in place, and in full force and effect, until a ‘final deal’ is reached,” he added.
“Things should move quickly.”
An Israeli military official told reporters on Monday afternoon that 22 ballistic missiles were launched from Iran overnight, in addition to two projectiles fired by Yemen’s Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists.
In response, the Israeli Air Force, guided by IDF Military Intelligence, carried out strikes on military targets belonging to the Iranian regime, including “strategic defense systems,” according to a statement.
Monday’s strikes “further enhance the Israeli Air Force’s freedom of action in Iranian airspace,” the military added.
The blockade stays on until a final deal is reached. That is leverage, and Trump made clear he intends to keep it.

The trigger for the latest violence was clear enough.
JNS reported that air-raid sirens sounded across Israel overnight Sunday into Monday morning as Iran fired missiles, which Tehran called a response to the Israel Defense Forces hitting its Lebanese terrorist proxy, Hezbollah, in Beirut.
Israel said Iran launched 22 ballistic missiles. Two more projectiles came from Yemen, fired by Houthi terrorists.
The escalation frame runs through Tehran, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. That is the pressure map Trump was staring at when he told the shooting to stop.
Israel answered.
JNS reported that Israeli aircraft struck Iranian military targets and strategic defense systems after the overnight fire.
A senior Israeli official said those strikes were coordinated with the United States. That detail tells you Washington and Jerusalem were operating together even as Trump publicly pressed for the shooting to end.
None of this is peace yet. Trump said as much, warning that ignorance or stupidity could still get in the way.
What it shows is a president trying to force discipline into a volatile situation where Iran and its proxies keep testing the line.
The blockade is still up. The strikes are coordinated.
The demand to stop shooting came straight from the top.
Iran and its terror network remain dangerous, and the ceasefire is still fragile. But for now, the man setting the terms is in the Oval Office, and he is telling both sides to put the weapons down and finish the deal.
What are your thoughts?
