Today, from the front lawn of the White House, President Trump delivered an important message to the seniors in America. “To my favorite people in the world, the seniors…” he said, adding,  “I’m a senior. Maybe you don’t know that. Nobody knows that. Maybe you don’t have to tell them, but I’m a senior.”

“We are making tremendous progress with this horrible disease that was sent over by China,” Trump said, adding, “China will pay a big price for what they did to the world, and to us.”

President Trump explained to seniors about the amazing impact the medicine he took while in Walter Reed Hospital had on him while he was in the hospital with COVID, “We have medicines right now—and I call them a cure. I went into the hospital a week ago and I was very sick, and I took this medicine and it was incredible. It was incredible. I could’ve walked out the following day. It was incredible, the impact it had” he said.

Trump told seniors, “And we’re to make that and others similar to it, almost identical, we’re going to make them available, immediately. We’re going to have an emergency use authorization, that I want to get signed immediately.” Trump praised the FDA for its swift action to approve the Regeneron drug, “The FDA has moved at a level they’ve never moved before. Things that would normally take two or three or four years are taking a matter of weeks, or even sooner than that—and that’s because of me.”

“We’re taking care of our seniors. You’re not vulnerable, but they like to say the vulnerable—you’re the least vulnerable–but for this one thing we are—so am I.” He continued, “But I want you to get the same care I got. I got incredible care at Walter Reed. You’re gonna get the same medicine, and you’re gonna get it free—no charge—and we’re gonna get it to you soon.”

Trump explained that the Remdesivir medicine he took will be made by a number of manufacturers. He assured Americans that it will be safe to use and that it will be free.
