Massive demonstrations erupted in France on Wednesday, leading to approximately 200 arrests and clashes with police.
According to France 24, a “loose left-wing coalition” organized the “Block Everything” protests against President Emmanuel Macron’s policies.
“Violent clashes erupted outside France’s Ministry of Interior as protesters attacked riot police during nationwide unrest. The chaos follows the collapse of PM François Bayrou’s government and mounting fury over austerity measures,” Mario Nawfal wrote.
“Protesters have launched a decentralized ‘Block Everything’ campaign aimed at shutting down transport, schools, and daily life. Macron rushed to appoint Sébastien Lecornu as the new PM, but calls for snap elections are surging,” he added.

France 24 has more:
Demonstrators have been gathering across France from the early hours, with 80,000 police deployed to maintain law and order.
ADVERTISEMENTFrench President Emmanuel Macron’s decision to name Sébastien Lecornu, a close ally, as prime minister “is a slap in the face”, said a protester in the southeastern city of Lyon who gave only his first name, Florent.
“We are tired of his successive governments, we need change,” he said.
Protesters in Lyon blocked a highway running through the city and set bins on fire, while in the western city of Nantes police used teargas to disperse protesters.
Groups of demonstrators, many masked, built barricades with dumpsters and pelted police with rubbish on the outskirts of Paris, according to journalists.
Earlier this week, French lawmakers voted to oust Prime Minister François Bayrou.
Bayrou’s departure plunged the country into a new political crisis and uncertainty.
Some have called for Macron's impeachment or resignation.
BREAKING - The French government collapses.
And now they are now demanding impeachment or resignation of Macron.
The entire country will be brought to a standstill in 2 days time as the people take to the streets to demand change.

The Associated Press provided further info:
The “Bloquons Tout,” or “Block Everything,” movement gathered momentum over the summer on social media and in encrypted chats, calling for a day of blockades, strikes, demonstrations and other acts of protests.
ADVERTISEMENTThe movement, which has grown virally with no clear identified leadership, has a broad array of demands — many targeting contested belt-tightening budget plans that Bayrou championed before his demise — as well as broader complaints about inequality.
The spontaneity of “Block Everything” is reminiscent of the yellow vests. That movement started with workers camping out at traffic circles to protest a hike in fuel taxes, sporting high-visibility vests. It quickly spread to people across political, regional, social and generational divides angry at economic injustice and Macron’s leadership.
