NFL quarterback Cam Newton is such a great guy! We’ve reported on other great things he’s done before but this is awesome!
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was in Charleston Monday to spend time with the family of at least one of the victims of the Emanuel AME Church shooting.
Newton met Monday with Chris Singleton, a Charleston Southern University baseball player and Goose Creek High School graduate. Singleton’s mother, Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, died Wednesday night in the shooting at Emanuel AME Church in downtown Charleston.
Rashard Alston, who also graduated from Goose Creek High School, posted photos to his Instagram account Monday documenting Newton’s visit.
“I just want to take the time to thank @cameron1newton for reaching out to me and coming to visit my brother! This guy is a class act and extremely down to earth. You are truly appreciated!,” the post read.
Two photos showing Newton with Singleton and his family were attached to the Instagram post.
