Yesterday, we reported how NATO allies, including a seemingly reluctant Joe Biden, agreed to seize the assets of Russian companies and ban Russia from the SWIFT banking system.

JUST IN: NATO Allies and US “launch a multilateral Transatlantic task force to identify, hunt down, and freeze assets of sanctioned Russian companies and oligarchs – their yachts, their mansions, and any other ill-gotten gains”

Today, after another night of failing to capture Ukraine’s capital city of Kyiv, Putin, who appears to have little support for his invasion of an innocent nation, has ordered Russian nuclear deterrent forces to be on the highest alert.

TIME – In a dramatic escalation of East-West tensions over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, President Vladimir Putin ordered Russian nuclear forces put on high alert Sunday in response to what he called “aggressive statements” by leading NATO powers.

The order means Putin wants Russia’s nuclear weapons prepared for increased readiness to launch and raises the threat that Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine and the West’s response to it could boil over into nuclear warfare.

In a speech to mark Russia’s special forces day, Putin thanked soldiers for “heroically fulfilling their military duty” in Ukraine, before parroting his propaganda line that his armies are providing assistance to the ‘people’s republics of Donbas’ – referring to two rebel-held areas in eastern Ukraine that Russia recognized as independent states ahead of its invasion.

“I want to thank the command, the personnel of the special operations forces, veterans of the special forces units for their loyalty to the oath, for their impeccable service in the name of the people of Russia and our great motherland,” he said.

Putin warned, “Western countries aren’t only taking unfriendly actions against our country in the economic sphere, but top officials from leading NATO members made aggressive statements regarding our country.”

Watch:

President Vladimir Putin’s order to put Russia’s deterrence forces, including nuclear arms – on high alert is unacceptable escalation, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield said this morning on CNN.

NBC’s Chuck Todd asked United Nations US Ambassador Linda Thomas- Greenfield an excellent question: “Why has it been this sort of daily escalation? Why couldn’t we have gotten all of this done on Thursday, and even after that, why have we only had partial removal of the Russian banks from the SWIFT system?”

“We will escalate as the Russians escalate” “We’ve put harsh sanctions on the Russians. They were aware those sanctions were coming. We have been consistent in applying those sanctions as we’ve seen the escalation of the Russians, incoordination, of course, with our European colleagues.”

Watch:

Ever since Biden moved into the White House, he and his inept administration, many of whom have been chosen because of the color of their skin, sex, or sexual orientation, have made one thing perfectly clear, America will no longer take the lead, we will instead, follow the lead.

Pray for an end to this senseless war that could have and should have been avoided.
