We all know the impeachment trial set to begin this week against former President Donald Trump is a spurious distraction to silence dissent and shift attention from the totalitarian chaos that continues to be inflicted upon America by the left. We also know that it should be considered unconstitutional because President Trump is no longer president since Biden illegitimately installed himself into the position on January 6th (allegedly, but with mountains of evidence).
The implications for impeaching a former president are dire, since any former president could then be impeached. The basis for the impeachment claims and the claims themselves also appear to be bankrupt of validity as well. In addition to this, at least 17 republicans would have to vote in favor of baseless impeachment along with 50 democrats in order impeach the president. Taking all of this into account, Senator Paul believe there is no chance of a senate impeachment conviction:

Because it is a sham, it is also unlikely that there will be any witnesses for the trial:

Therefore, because nothing about the impeachment is valid, lawful, or reasonable, Senator Rand Paul has told Fox News that he opposes the impeachment in the Senate.
He then went on to state that if Trump could be impeached over his language, then Senator Chuck Schumer who is leading the impeachments charge, must also be impeached:
.@RandPaul floats the idea of impeaching Senator Schumer for using threatening language towards Justice Gorsuch and Justice Kavanaugh. #FoxNewsSunday
