Rashida Tlaib is proud of her Muslim Palestinian heritage. She’s also not shy about her disdain for Israel. The freshman “Impeach the motherf**ker” lawmaker, who wrapped herself in the Palestinian flag to celebrate her election victory in November, has many anti-Semitic ties. Most recently, Tlaib traveled across the country to support an academic boycott of Israel at a California college.
According to Washington Free Beacon -Students and faculty of California’s Pitzer College voted Thursday to suspend the study abroad partnership with Israel’s University of Haifa, but college president Melvin Oliver is declining to take any action on the program, calling it an “academic boycott of Israel.”
Dan Segal, (pictured below with Rep.Tlaib) is the far-left professor who led the charge for the anti-Israel proposal and met with Tlaib to discuss it.
The anti-Israel proposal, backed by radical leftist groups and Democratic congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, won the support of the Pitzer College Council in a Thursday vote taken by both students and faculty. Oliver says the vote amounts only to a recommendation to the president and is declining to take it.
Tlaib is a member of the Facebook group “Palestinian American Congress,” where members often demonize Jews. The group’s founder, Palestinian activist Maher Abdel-qader, was a key fundraiser for Tlaib and organized campaign events for her around the country.
In January 2018, Abdel-qader shared an anti-Semitic video that claimed Jews aren’t actually Jewish, and invented their historical claim to Israel and secretly control the media.
Tlaib also questioned in a tweet whether Republicans who support anti-BDS legislation “forgot what country they represent.” Tlaib supports the BDS movement, which has often overlapped with anti-Semitic causes.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and other Republicans accused Tlaib of questioning Jewish-Americans’ loyalty to their country, though Tlaib insisted there was no anti-Semitic intent to the tweet.
Now, the National Review is reporting that Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) hosted an extremist anti-Israel activist who has openly and explicitly endorsed terrorism at her congressional office in mid-April to celebrate the American Muslims for Palestine Advocacy Day.
The organization American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), which organized the meeting, posted a photo on its Facebook page of Tlaib standing next to Joe Catron, a veteran anti-Israel activist who has openly praised various Palestinian organizations for committing acts of terrorism.
“A tip of my hat to Rashida Tlaib, who really goes above and beyond the call of duty in welcoming every supporter of Palestine to her office, listening to what we have to say, answering our questions, and posing for endless pictures,” Catron wrote on Facebook in a post first noted by the Daily Caller.
Catron serves as U.S. coordinator of the Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, an arm of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which the U.S., Australia, Japan, Canada, and the E.U. have all designated a terrorist organization.
Here’s a screenshot of Joe Catron’s Twitter account. Hmmm…is anyone else wondering where those rockets are headed or who for whom that target is intended? What about the terrorist on the right? This is certainly not your typical Twitter banner…
According to the Daily Caller, the woman standing next to Catron in his Twitter profile image is Leila Khaled, a member of PFLP who is a known Palestinian terrorist most notable for hijacking airplanes.
In 2017, Catron used his personal Twitter account to praise a PFLP-organized terror attack in which an Israeli police officer was stabbed to death. Catron shared the PFLP’s official statement praising the members who perpetrated the murder and personally referred to the attack as “heroic.”
In this tweet by Joe Catron, he expressed his love for the terror group, Hizbullah.
Hezbollah or “Hizbullah” is a radical Shiite Muslim political party and militant group fighting against Israel and western occupation and influence within Lebanon.
Yep…Rashida Tlaib, the Democrat United States Congresswoman from Michigan met with this man in her congressional office. As a Michigan resident, and as a United States citizen, I am very concerned that this woman has been given the awesome responsibility of voting on legislation that affects the future of our nation.
