The victim was stabbed to death, then decapitated before having his head used as a soccer ball.

The day after Father’s Day, the decapitated head of 51-year-old James Garcia was found ten yards from his bludgeoned body, in a park in Dona Ana County, New Mexico. Joel Arciniega-Saenz a 25-year-old illegal alien, who was out on bail at the time, was arrested after Garcia’s mutilated body was found and allegedly confessed to the murder. Police found him near the murder scene with a bloody knife and blood-stained clothes. He told investigators he did it because he believed Garcia had raped his wife four years prior.

According to CBS 4- News, Joel Arciniega-Saenz has an extensive criminal history. In 2017, he was accused of first-degree murder but a year later the charges were dropped. In May, Arciniega-Saenz was arrested when he was caught throwing rocks at businesses.

Arciniega-Saenz allegedly confessed to confronting the man at the park before stabbing him with a switchblade, mutilating his body and decapitating him. After which he admits to playing “soccer with his head,” according to an affidavit.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement have indicated that Arciniega-Saenz is an illegal alien in the United States with an ICE detainer on him, requesting that local authorities do not release him from jail until they can assume custody.

“Under federal law, ICE has the authority to lodge immigration detainers with law enforcement partners who have custody of individuals arrested on criminal charges and who ICE has probable cause to believe are removable noncitizens,” an ICE official told Breitbart News.
