Is Dan Bongino about to call it quits?

According to new reports, Bongino will make a big decision about his future at the FBI within the coming weeks.

It’s possible he could be about to resign from his position as Deputy FBI Director.

Here’s what’s being reported:

The New York Sun claims that Bongino’s office has mostly been cleared out:

The brief and tumultuous tenure of MAGA podcaster turned FBI deputy director, Daniel Bongino, may already be coming to an end, with his office largely empty and his chief of staff assuming a new leadership role in Baltimore, the Sun has learned.

While Mr. Bongino, 51, was in his Washington office on Friday, he was also believed to have informed several special agents in charge in the FBI’s 56 field offices that he would be leaving his role, the Sun has learned. His Washington office was empty as of Friday evening, the Sun has learned. An FBI spokesman did not respond to questions from the Sun.

However, a Fox News report citing two sources allegedly close to the matter shut down claims that Bongino’s office is empty.

The sources did say that he is seriously weighing his future at the agency, though.

Here’s an excerpt from that article:

The sources deny recent reports that Bongino’s office at the FBI is empty, but they say his departure is a possibility in the near future.

A source familiar with the situation told Fox News Digital that Bongino has not made any decisions about his future.

Bongino’s tenure at the FBI has come under fire in recent weeks, alongside FBI Director Kash Patel. Earlier this month, a report from an alliance of active-duty and retired FBI personnel portrayed the bureau as directionless under its new leadership.

Bongino and Patel pushed back on the report, however, defending sweeping reforms they say have delivered major gains in accountability and public safety.

“When the director and I moved forward with these reforms, we expected some noise from the small circle of disgruntled former agents still loyal to the old Comey–Wray model,” Bongino told Fox News at the time.

I have to say that I am very suspicious about these reports that rely on unnamed, anonymous sources.

But, what do you think?

If these reports are true, would you prefer to see Bongino stay on-board or leave the FBI?

Here’s what some folks are saying on X:
