A new report claims that in pitching the Iran nuclear deal to Congress, the Obama administration lied to lawmakers that Tehran would not have access to the U.S. financial system…
Well, you can probably guess what happened next. The Obama administration turned around and granted a license to let Iran have access to the U.S. financial system!
Is it any wonder that John Kerry (see our report below) has been slamming President Trump just like the other corrupt people who were in the Obama administration? These people are guilty of betraying the American people! The report really opens the pandora’s box between Iran and what went on with the Obama administration to pass BILLIONS to Iran…BILLIONS!
The Weekly Standard reports:
The 53-page report by the Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI), chaired by Ohio senator Rob Portman, also reveals the extent of Obama administration efforts to encourage foreign countries to do business with Iran. Its release comes after President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. would be withdrawing from the agreement and reimposing nuclear deal-related sanctions on Iran.
The lifting of those sanctions in January 2016 allowed Tehran to tap into its previously frozen assets abroad, including $5.7 billion rials held in an Omani bank, Bank Muscat. Iran wanted to convert those funds to euros, which could be done most efficiently by first converting to U.S. dollars as an “intermediary step.” In an effort to allow Iran to convert its once-frozen rials, the Treasury Department granted a specific license in February 2016 that authorized the Iranian assets to be converted using the U.S. financial system, according to the report.
“A conversion to U.S. dollars on behalf of the [Central Bank of Iran] was prohibited under U.S. sanctions,” the report says. “Other options existed to convert the funds from rials to euros without using the U.S. financial system. But using the U.S. dollar as an intermediary step was the most efficient means, even though U.S. sanctions prohibited it.”

Wednesday’s report also detailed efforts by Obama administration officials to drum up business for Iran, including over 200 “roadshows” abroad meant to encourage various countries to engage with Tehran. During one such trip, the report says, one U.S. official signaled that the administration would not stringently punish every sanctions violation.

Obama, Valerie Jarrett (born in Iran), Susan Rice and other members of the former President’s inner-circle “systematically disbanded” special law enforcement units throughout the federal government that were investigating the Iranian, Syrian, and Venezuelan terrorism financing networks. Documents were requested last May relating to the Iran Deal in a letter from Rep. Jason Chaffetz:
In part, the letter stated: When President Obama revealed a prisoner exchange agreement with Iran in January 2016, he announced the release of one Iranian and six Iranian-Americans convicted of crimes or awaiting trial. The President described the exchange as a benign “reciprocal humanitarian gesture,” and went as far as to call the individuals released “civilians” who “were not charged with terrorism or any violent offenses.” Among those granted clemency were individuals that the Justice Department deemed threats to national security. The news account identified 14 Iranian fugitives accused of serious crimes for whom the Obama Administration dropped criminal charges, but never released the names or charges. These reports note an Iranian spokesperson contradicted the Administration’s position by claiming there were 28 Iranians “freed or relieved from judicial restrictions” as part of the prisoner exchange agreement. If true, this leaves seven individuals unaccounted for. [It was] also reported that Obama Administration officials blocked and delayed law enforcement efforts to lure Iranian fugitives to countries where they could be arrested and to extradite Iranian suspects in custody overseas.
You would think all of this would be front page news…
JOHN KERRY’S SHADOW DIPLOMACY:
Isn’t it interesting that John Kerry was just seen meeting with Iranian diplomats in Paris, France on Saturday (SEE BELOW). This was after the Iranian regime threatened to release the names of Western officials who took bribes to make the Iran deal happen.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman threatened:
H.J.Ansari Zarif’s senior advisor: “If Europeans stop trading with Iran and don’t put pressure on US then we will reveal which western politicians and how much money they had received during nuclear negotiations to make #IranDeal happen.”

WHAT WAS JOHN KERRY DOING IN PARIS SATURDAY AT NOON WITH THREE IRANIAN DIPLOMATS, WHILE HIS PRESIDENT, DONALD TRUMP, HAD JUST CANCELED THE NUCLEAR AGREEMENTS?
Obviously, the former catastrophic diplomat who cannot even stand on a bike does not fear being prosecuted for treason against his country: he is a Democrat, and therefore he is protected.
Admittedly, the FBI has indicted Michael Flynn, the national security advisor to President-elect Trump, for identical but less serious reasons: he spoke with Russians during a cocktail party while he was still a simple citizen: Flynn is a Republican, all the force of the law apply.
And of course, the media won’t say a word about it: collusion with a foreign power, it only interests them if they can accuse President Trump.
