In an apparent reversal from what President Trump said earlier today about the (in his words) “Jeffrey Epstein hoax,” he’s now allegedly in support of appointing a special prosecutor to investigate the Epstein case.
Today, John Solomon gave Steve Bannon a snapshot of his recent interview with President Trump.
According to Solomon, President Trump is totally on-board with the idea of appointing a special counsel to take over the investigation.
Watch what Solomon had to say about it here:

BREAKING: John Solomon previews his interview with President Trump, says Trump told him that he supports a deepstate special prosecutor, which will include an investiagtion into Epstein:
ADVERTISEMENTBANNON: “You did inform him that they’re thinking about appointing a special counsel on this to take over this entire, this entire investigation?”
SOLOMON: “Yeah, and he said, ‘I think it’s a good approach. Let’s just do it. Let’s get, let’s get the trust of the American people, let’s get accountability and then let’s focus on the things that matter.’
BANNON: “So he’s on board with the situation of getting a special prosecutor and having the Epstein situation put into that so that can be formally looked at.”
SOLOMON: He immediately volunteers it, and then I follow up on it, but he immediately brings up Epstein, like ‘just throw that into it, let’s get it all answered. I got nothing to hide. I want truth and I want prosecutions and I just want the justice system to take care of what needs to be taken care of.’ It was really a remarkable moment.”
That all sounds great…
However, when asked about it by a reporter today, President Trump said he has “nothing to do with it.”

This apparent back-and-forth is leaving a lot of folks on social media confused:
I don’t know how to reconcile this with the Truth Social post from this morning.
This morning it basically sounded like…”If you still have questions about Epstein, then I no longer want your support..” (paraphrase). I pray that I’m simply misinterpreting it.

He’s pretty close to saying Epstein never existed.

Now his answer is, “I’ve got nothing to do with it.” So, which is it, and which do you believe?

My take?
I think that it’s likely in that last clip, President Trump just meant that it would be up to AG Pam Bondi to appoint a special prosecutor.
He doesn’t have “anything to do with it” because he won’t be personally appointing anybody, but he doesn’t shun the idea altogether.
Now, that raises another concern, though: how do we know we will get somebody good to investigate this and not just cover it all up again?
This person makes a great point:
I have no faith in a special prosecutor, I’ve seen what the last 3 did, they covered for those that should have been punished.

That’s my biggest concern here.
What are your thoughts?
