Yes, Al Sharpton still owes $698,470.99 in back taxes for three of his companies, but he’s pocketing big bucks from his own charity. Some things never change.
Recent tax filings from Huckster Al Sharpton’s National Action Network (NAN) show the Rev. Al has been living off of his own charity
Sharpton took $1,046,948 from his own charity!
Sharpton’s nonprofit said the extra cash was to make up for the years from 2004 to 2017 when he didn’t get full pay.
Sharpton defended the huge windfall:
“It’s a six-day-a-week job and several hours a day and when compared it to other companies, other nonprofits, that’s the salary that they would get.”
It’s great that Sharpton works six days a week but he made over six figures every year since 2008!
Fox News reports that Sharpton’s NAN salary was $244,661 in 2017 and was $250,000 plus a $437,555 bonus in 2016 and a whopping $348,244 plus a $64,400 bonus in 2014.
To top it all off, Sharpton sold the rights to his life story to his own charity for over $500k!
